Here in South Sudan Beer starts at about 200SSP, Exchange rate here is $100 - 17,500SSP so you can do your own conversin but just over a buck....if you go to the hotels or bars that are UN approved (Yup that's a legit thing) then you are gonna be paying 250SSP - 500SSP depending on the Brand (Tusker is the most common, Heineken is also usually available but a bit more expensive than Tusker also usually available are Castle Light, Bell Lager, Amstel and either White Bull, Club or Nile Special).

Spirits is where the price rockets and you can pay anything from 700SSP all the way up to 2500SSP for a single.

But back home in my local price of a pint starts about £3 (Stella 4% is the cheapest in my local)

Yup but you run the risk of the beer being warm....like room temp (Which can get up to high 30's in the shade during the hot months). if the place has a working Generator running during Business hours then you should be able to get a cool beer

Just done the currency convertor, you can get a beer for 23 pence out there you absolute bastard LOL

Being Scottish you can probably stay sober for less than a tenner......

3 quid for a pint of Stella is what I would call cheap.

In South Sudan if you get cold Castle Lights You can polish off a crate throughout a day (Starting about Noon) but the next day you know you went too far. I was with Saffers when that happened so that may have had something to do with the boozing lol.

23 pence a 500ml can or bottle if you are on the African beers or 330ml bottle (Castle light or Heineken) ain't too shabby though lol
