Looking forward to seeing what she'll be doing on Smackdown this week. I kinda doubt she'll have a match so soon, as she's still technically a member of the Raw roster, but with her new feud with Charlotte Flair I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Not only that but I think the entire women's roster is going to see a big shakeup following WrestleMania. Asuka will win, and she'll become this trophy for every woman in the WWE to try and take down. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and predict that Asuka will lose her title and her undefeated winning streak at Money in the Bank.

I just don't see her carrying the title for very long, just long enough to establish she belongs at the very top of the women's division and can slot into a title match at any time. Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, & Charlotte Flair are all better suited to be champions for public events purposes alone, but Asuka, given special circumstances could be better for short periods of time.

I fully expect a promo and pointing to the Wrestlemania sign as the extent of her involvement this week. Theyll advertise her for a match for next week.

There's this great shot of Asuka looking like Vanna White showcasing the wrestlemania sign to Charlotte and Asuka's got this big dumb grin on her face. It's pretty funny watching her ham it up sometimes. In that lone aspect she reminds me a lot of Kurt Angle where she can be totally goofy sometimes and then you piss her off and she hits a switch and it's game time. It's really a damned shame she isn't fluent in English because I'd love to really understand a typical Asuka promo cause the sounds and the personality she exudes when she's cutting her promo are pretty cool, but without knowing the actual content it falls quite flat.

She cuts the worst promos ive ever heard .. she gets so excited and loud that her bad English becomes even worse and she just mumbles. Alexas reaction said it all on Raw this week.

She should just be a silent assassin or have a mouthpiece until her English improves - same with Nakamura - the bloke looks and sounds like hes having a stroke every time he gets on the microphone

If they're really so intent on having them cut promos then have them cut them in Japanese and call it good. Then on youtube the next day give us subtitles. At least then, even if you dont' understand it live you get the feeling and passion behind what they're saying and have a reason to check out their youtube uploads the next day.

I think she'll be a great champion for public events but I don't see both her and Nakamura being champion at the same time. I still think Carmella will cash in at mania, make the match a triple threat and pin Charlotte, this ensuring that the title stays in genpop for a while longer. I think the streak will be broken next Wrestlemania, hopefully by Becky Lynch, with Asuka taking the title around Summerslam time and fighting all comers. If not Lynch then Bayley, as they have history.

Regarding a shake up of the divisions, I can see Ember Moon joining Raw right after mania. I think we're going to see a Naomi/Bayley trade (Naomi going to Raw with her husband and Bayley getting out of Sasha's shadow) and I can see Natalya moving over though I'm not sure who for if I'm honest.

It doesn't sound a lot but what with Asuka coming over to that actually is quite a major shake up for both divisions.

Yah, the entire Raw division is losing a monster no one can beat, even the champion, so now they have to find out who the top dog is again. Is it Bliss? Jax? Someone else? Ronda Rousey?

Now Smackdown has the Asuka problem. Can Charlotte stand up to Asuka? Can Becky? Can anyone??? Plus this separates the two women who are clearly head and shoulders above anyone in clout and that's Rousey & Asuka. You put Charlotte or Bliss in the ring with either Rousey or Asuka and the champion is the underdog. So for me, that's the WrestleMania 35 match to build towards, Rousey vs Asuka. If not at mania then Survivor Series during the Raw vs Smackdown gimmick.

As for WM34? The idea of Carmella cashing in and stealing the title out from under Asuka's nose by pinning Charlotte, and then bragging about how she ended Asuka's streak is intriguing. Because even if Asuka wasn't pinned, submitted, DQ'd, or counted out, the fact remains Asuka was in a match and Carmella won that match by pinfall, so Carmella has at least a tenuous claim for ending the streak, starting a controversy and she can be even more obnoxious by going around bragging about ending it.

I don't know that I'd go that direction myself. I think there is a sizable group of fans that are turning on Asuka more and more simply because of that streak, so I think I'd rather get her a win over Charlotte now while she's a babyface, and then turn her heel and morph the story into who can beat this horrible person and rid Smackdown of this monster. Asuka keeps her stock high this way because the minute she turns into that evil zombie character she has yet to show the English-speaking audience you know her days as an unbeaten monster are numbered, and those same smarks that are pissing on her name because of the streak will want to see her keep going now because she is a heel and has changed her character quite a bit.

This way Becky, or Bayley, or even someone like Ember Moon or Kairi Sane will get over huge as a babyface and have some serious cred in the eyes of the fans because they're the one that pinned Asuka.

Raw are losing out big time in my opinion.

Whilst they are pushing both Asuka and Nakamura, wherever Nakamura has shortcomings, with exception of promo skills, Asuka just doesnt seem to have any.

She has that connection with the crowd, she has an aura about her, she also has a flashy entrance but she can really go in the ring and is deserving of the title push.

The stage is perfectly set now for WWE to build some more stars in the Raw women division with some of those being from NXT.

Sasha and Bailey seem like the 2 they will focus on with Jax taking on the monster / hard to beat type. Becky is rumoured to be going to Raw after mania so maybe that will be her time to shine.

I'm looking forward to seeing Asuka v Charlotte and how this progresses on from Mania

I can see Rousey vs Asuka at Survivor Series, with Asuka winning. That said, I don't think Rousey will take the title until after Survivor Series anyway.

On the red side I see Jax taking the title and holding it against Bliss/James for a couple of times while Rousey takes on people like Dana Brooke, returning Alicia Fox and potentially Natalya. Then Jax/Natalya happens and Rousey switches to fighting a newly heel Banks before moving to Bliss/James around that Survivor Series time.

Essentially, you overload Raw with heels and use them to make Jax/Rousey both look unstoppable. Meanwhile Naomi/Banks happens to make Sasha still look damned good. We then have Moon take the title from Jax just before Survivor Series, lose to Asuka and either hold the title until mania (Moon/Rousey would be awesome in my opinion) or Banks takes the title from either Jax or Moon via MitB cashin, possibly at Survivor Series, thinking about it. (Banks/Rousey rematch at mania)

Either way, Rousey takes the belt next mania but does not win the Royal Rumble to do it. Get that women in an Elimination Chamber.

For the blue brand I'd genuinely be happy with a year long Asuka reign, in which she turns heel as you've mentioned. Lynch is one of her first competitors and gets demolished. The whole year of storyline is about redemption for Becky Lynch. Charlotte's reign runs similar, in fact their storylines from Survivor Series until the Rumble are almost identical with Charlotte eventually turning on Becky because of her determination to "reclaim my property, my birthright, my title."

This of course gives us 4 potential Rumble winners in Lynch, Flair, Moon and Rousey. Becky beats Asuka at mania, clean as a whistle.

Now obviously WWE are going to do nothing even close to this but sometimes, as a fan, I just like to share what I hope for.

Sharing what you want as a fan is one of the biggest reasons to be a part of a forum. It can't be all debate this, argue that, or it gets old. And it sounds pretty damned good tbh. I'd tune in for that.

If Asuka were to go undefeated for yet another year, what will she do when it is over? Especially if she has turned heel? I didn't think about that when I brought it up earlier, but now, I'm a bit stumped. I mean I guess it wouldn't be too hard to deal with and it is the kind of thing you have to be a little bit closer in to see, and you can't do at a ballpark view. Does she get screwed by another heel? Setting up one or the other to turn baby? Or... Or fade off into nothingness until her contract expires? Those obviously aren't the only options, but I'm having trouble coming up with many from such a high level.

If Asuka were to hold the title until WM 35 she would be 37 years old when she lost. I wonder how much gas she has left in the tank? Not likely too many more years, but maybe, and even if she does, does she want to spend them all in the States, or finish up back in Japan, while she can still go at a high level? She has held up well against injuries, but you never know when they might just start mounting up and then that's it for full time wrestling.
