WWE has a new DVD project in the works entitled Best of the High Flyers. This title is set to be released on Oct. 12.

Could we be the reason Rey has the belt and Evan Bourne is being pushed all of a sudden.

This DVD would have made more sense when the cruiserweight championship was around.

Could the title be on the way back if DVD sales justify it (like what happened with the ECW DVD).

It might come back (Cruiserweight title) but I highly doubt it.

I hope this DVD features Jannetty, Michaels, Hardy Boyz, Benjamin, the Guerrero's, Pillman, Essa Rios and a few others I cant think of at the moment.

Great idea, IMO.

Im a fan of spot monkeys, and there have been enough of them in WWE to warrant a DVD to be fair. I hope the names BG listed are on there, plus some of the WCW Cruiserweights like Kidman as well.

The official synopsis of the WWE Best of the High-Flyers DVD is as follows: "Some of the most exciting moments in sports entertainment history have come through the air. High-flying Superstars have always brought fans to their feet, from "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, the Killer Bees, the Rockers, Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, and more. This 3-DVD set, "Best of the High Flyers", collects some of the greatest aerial displays in sports entertainment history. The dozens of matches in this collection represent the "Creme de la Creme" of WWE, WCW, ECW, WCCW, and more."

Kidman is a road agent so that will be part of the reason they are using his footage (he's not on many DVDs).

Mysterio is pointless because his best matches have been shown already on numerous releases.

No mention of a documentary...I hope it's not three DVDs of nonestop matches.

Jimmy Snuka was shit.

Looks like we're getting the "OMG SNUKA OFF THE CAGE AT MSG" shit again on this DVD.

Thank god Kidman is on there, he had a lot of great matches in WCW's dying days.

I guess, this is for WCW/ECW/WWE? If So I would like to see...

Brian Pillman vs Jushin Liger (Super Brawl II)
Eddy Guerrero vs Rey Misterio Jr. (Halloween Havoc 1997)
Rey Misterio Jr. vs Psicosis (November to Remember 1995)
Chris Candido vs Sabu (CyberSlam 1997)
RVD vs 2 Cold Scorpio (CyberSlam 1999)
Unholy Alliance vs Super Crazy and Kid Kash (Massacre on 34th Street)

Thats just as far as ECW and WCW goes. I am sure WWE can think of something for their own stuff.

BFP, those are some amazing matches I'd forgotten all about.  Pillman vs Liger was awesome.  Haven't seen that for maybe a decade.  There would be loads from WCW between 95-98 I'd say, their Cruiserweight division was the highlight of the show.

Yeah I agree. Snuka was more of a brawler than a high flyer, the only move he did that was off the top of something was that splash, but other than that he wasn't really a high flyer or a daredevil like say a RVD, Eddie Guerrero or Rey Mysterio.
