well looks like we are going to get another big uk versus america fight coming soon. robin reid got beaten badly by jeff lacy. so now it looks like a battle of the undeafeated champions. joe calazghe will BEAT jeff lacy. he looked good last night. but not that good. calazghe is the man. hes the longest reigning champion in boxing. and is far better then young lacy. it would be lacys first defeat.

Anthony Mundine should learn to shut up & stop fighting 38 year old concussed taxi drivers.

another good night for british boxing. amir khan couldnt knock out someone who had already lost 13 fights. that is shite and all i wanna say about that. joe calazghe did very well for all 3 judges to give him all 12 rounds. he hurt is left hand at the end of the 5th. and he is left handed. so for 3 quarters of the fight he could only jab with his weakest hand. thats the sign of a good champion. cant see him fighting jeff lacy till febuary now because of his hand. if it goes again against lacy hes in trouble. but if not he will beat lacy.

Quote Ricky Hatton is back on Sky Box Office!

The IBF light-welterweight champion's unification match-up with WBA champion Carlos Maussa is coming exclusively to your screens on Saturday, November 26.

Hatton appears to have won his battle with former promoter Frank Warren and fighting under his own promotion company Punch Promotions and Dennis Hobson's Fight Academy, is back in the ring for the first time as a world champion.

After de-throning former undisputed light-welterweight king Kostya Tszyu in June, Hatton plans to unify his belt with the WBA bauble, currently held by Colombian brawler Carlos Maussa.

Maussa shocked an explosive division in June when he stopped champion Vivian Harris in seven sensational rounds and although unorthodox in style, is widely expected to become victim number 40 in Hatton's rise to the very top of the tree.

His previous 39 have been blown away in the Hitman's own enitimable style and with the big-money market in the US and the likes of WBC champ Floyd Mayweather, WBO holder Miguel Cotto, not to mention Diego Corrales and Jose Luis Castillo in the distance, will be keen to steamroller Maussa on his way to world title number two.

It was Sky Box Office brought you the emotionally-charged night at the MEN Arena back in June when Hatton was crowned world champion and will be the only channel you can see his first defence - and possibly his second world title

really looking forward to tonight. a takeaway, a few beers with mates, and watching my favourite boxer. carlos maussa did well to beat vivian harris back in june. but ricky hatton is in a league of his own. after he wins tonight he will go after floyd mayweathers belt next. the most exciting boxer to watch. then you look at things like barrera being ringside tonight and mike tyson hoping to carry rickys belt to the ring. that shows how well hes liked. roll on 10 pm.

dirty south american bastard maussa. headbutting ricky though after 51 seconds knowing he cuts easily just wound him up. usually ricky is more cautious but because of that plus being headbutted under his other eye, plus having the cut rubbed by his oponents glove made him more attacking. nobody could say maussa even won a round. now people talk about next may hatton versus cotto or gratti. i think he should fight both of them before beating floyd mayweather in the future.

I haven't seen that much of Hatton as his fights are usually not televised or are Showtime which I dont have.So hard for me to say if he could beat Floyd Mayweather or not,but with the speed, defense, and power Floyd has anybody will have a difficult time beating him.Cotto I think is a better matchup for Floyd or more appealing to myself atleast.

i dont know who else saw it but WHAT A FIGHT last night. joe calzaghe took jeff lacy to school and beat him in a masterclass. lacy showed the whole world hes just another overated yank who in his first proper fight lost for the first time and got knocked over for the first time. for joe to win 119-105 and 119-107 on the other two judges cards show the full picture. lacy will never be the same again and should have been pulled out by his corner. in calzaghe and hatton britain have the best two boxers in the world.

I agree Admin. That was one hell of a fight and it proved so many people wrong. I agree that he and Hatton are the best boxers in the world and we should all be proud!

Thanks to the Pimp for the Kickass Sig
