Quote Strowman comes out to the ring to kick off the show. Strowman gets on the mic and talks about destroying Kane and Lesnar last week, and sending Lesnar to the hospital. RAW GM Kurt Angle comes out to interrupt and informs Strowman that he was out of line last week with his grappling hook attack. He says Strowman put lives in danger last week, and that is going too far. Kurt informs Strowman that not only will his match at the Royal Rumble no longer be a triple threat match, but Strowman won't be competing at all at the Royal Rumble. Kurt Angle tells Strowman: You're fired. Kurt Angle walks off as Strowman looks confused and angry. Kurt Angle goes backstage, and then a few moments later Strowman walks backstage with security surrounding him.

We see security still escorting Strowman out. Strowman briefly takes issue with them, but he keeps walking. Strowman walks over to the door, but stops. One of the guards tell him he's got to leave, and Strowman grabs him. Strowman drops the guard, then the other guards swarm him. Strowman fights them off and lays them out one by one. Strowman throws one through a table. Strowman says he's not finished yet, and he's not leaving until everyone "gets these hands."

Braun Strowman is storming through the arena hallways looking for Kurt Angle. Strowman barges into an office and starts tearing apart everything inside. He destroys a plasma TV, among other things, then storms off back into the arena halls.

- Back from commercial, we see some people (including Curt Hawkins) eating at some tables in the back. A guy runs up and warns them that Strowman is coming. Strowman runs in and starts flipping the tables. He chokeslams Hawkins through a table, then goes to walk off. He walks into a guy who is bringing some chocolate cake to the catering area. Strowman takes a piece of the cake and eats it, then walks off.

Back from commercial, Braun Strowman runs in a production truck in the back of the arena and starts terrorizing the employees. Strowman starts throwing things around, then leaves. The employees start getting back to their desks, then the truck starts shaking. We see outside that Strowman has taken the truck off the trailer and is driving it. Strowman gets out and starts trying to flip it, then Kurt Angle runs in and asks what he hell he's doing. Strowman gets in Kurt's face, then flips the truck. Strowman screams in Kurt's face again, then walks off and throws aside everything in his path. Strowman walks towards the stage and comes out towards the broadcast table. Booker T and Graves run off, but Cole can't get away, and they leave him behind. Strowman grabs Cole and hauls him across the stage. Strowman looks to slam Cole, but Kurt Angle and some security run in and tell him to stop. Kurt says he just got off the phone with Stephanie, and Strowman can have his job back, but he has to stop and he has to put down Michael Cole. Strowman walks off from Cole, but before he leaves, he picks him up and throws Cole onto a crowd of security guards. Strowman heads backstage, and Kurt Angle looks very concerned.

- Back at the broadcast table, Graves and Booker talk about how horrible what happened to Cole is. Tom Phillips joins them to take over for Cole, and they show replays of Strowman's chaos. Booker says he doesn't think Kurt should have fired Strowman earlier on national TV, which set Strowman off. We see more replays of Strowman throwing Cole.

I get why little kids like this cartoony shit, but as a adult I hate his booking all night and thought it was dreadful.

I want some realism in my wrestling so don't want to expand my disbelief to ridiculous levels when a guy can tip a heavy truck over or a billion dollar company don't have the security at their show to get rid of one guy from the arena.

It was as stupid as whichever law allows someone to be fired and rehired without a contract being signed or a commentator being unable to continue with the show just because he was thrown on top of a pile of guys who broke his fall.

Yeah I agree, I like Braun Strowman but his character is far too cartoonish, I would much prefer them to just book him like Goldberg having him tear through opponents easily with raw power, there’s no need to have him tipping over trucks like some sort of monster villain from a kids cartoon, his promo style annoys me as well how he just growls corny lines again very cartoonish.

All the complaining about being cartoonish is ridiculous to be honest

The same people who are complaining are also Big Undertaker fans and there has been no greater “cartoon” character in WWE history than the deadman

He’s simply smashing some things up and showing some OTT strength feats - he’s hardly coming back from the dead, generating lightning with his hands or appearing out of thin air

Get a grip and stop bein boring

I was never a huge fan of the cartoony late 80’s-early 90’s, much preferred the New Generation Era which focused more on realistic characters and decent wrestling. Braun almost feels like a throwback to those early days.

The Undertaker always stood out as he was so unique at the time but I wasn’t a big fan of his original zombie like gimmick where he moved in slow motion, was controlled by a urn and only really had about three moves in his repertoire. I much preferred his more modern versions of the character where he was allowed to use his full range of ring skills.

I get all of that but isnt part of being a wrestling fan the ability to suspend belief?

I mean even if you take the most average thing like a steel chair shot to the head - most people would be unable to continue a match after that?

Buried alive matches?

Hell in a cell matches - the stuff people go through there would be enough to end a match after about 1 minute but as this is entertainment the matches go on for 30-40 minutes

To me you have to watch WWE as if it is a movie in some respects - alot of things could happen that could make the movie shorter, more realistic, more relatable but then if they did that it would be pointless going to the cinema to watch the 3 minutes they decided to record in order to conform to them attributes.

If you want something so realistic (and this isnt aimed at you Fletch - its a general statement) - watch the UFC

But I prefer WWE when it’s booked to be more like UFC, as a genuine competitive sport with a lot of realism about it.

Yes I get the whole suspending your disbelief thing and I’ve regularly preached that to people who are taking the product far too seriously you know moaning that Steve Austin wasn’t fired and arrested for punching his boss or why wasn’t Kane charged with murder for burning his brother in a coffin. But all that said it becomes harder to suspend your disbelief when the characters become too ridiculous.

A lot of it is to do with the performance, with The Undertaker and Kane the guys were so invested in the characters and their performances were so good it was easy to suspend your disbelief, you got caught up in it and forgot that this was all scripted entertainment.

I think that right there is the real issue, sometimes Braun comes across as a guy pretending to be a cartoony monster, his performance doesn’t have enough conviction to make you really believe in him.

Sometimes I think the WWE has a short term memory or really thinks we are idiots.

Kurt attempting to fire Braun for what he did to Kane and Brock is ridiculous considering all the times Kane has basically attempted to kill someone or stop them from having kids.

Let's not forget that Braun was thrown into a garbage truck and basically his teammates attempted to kill him.

Or lets not forget when Roman Reigns attempted to kill Braun by crashing the ambulance squashing the back part of it in the process.

Where was the firing for those ? ( Yes I know its part of the script bare with me)

It's the kind of booking like this that annoys me because even if your aiming your product towards children it doen't mean that they're idiots they will know what happened a few weeks ago as well whats happening now.

Braun destroying the place though was great to see I wish he got a couple of the higher ups on the card because he only managed to get a couple of jobbers plus Micheal Cole and then flip that damn truck over.
