Goldberg is NEVER COMING BACK. I can see Lesnar working this Extreme Rules and then leave again and come back to build up SummerSlam

Yeah I think Goldberg could be brought back, ala Bruno Sammartino, but there's no way in hell HHH or anyone else is going to go to all that effort for him. I just think that Goldberg, if he actually paid attention to the show now, would find that it's the kind of product now that he wanted it to be when he left.

So rumours have been flying around recently that Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio are scheduled to continue their feud after WrestleMania with World Heavyweight Championship. Apparently, they are set to face one another in a Submission Match, the stipulation obviously being added because both individuals poses a submission finisher in their respective arsenals (Swagger's being the Patriot Lock and Del Rio's of coarse being the Cross Arm Breaker.) According to sources this was suppose to be the original plan heading into WrestleMania this year.

not a rumour, just probably misread.
 
they are scheduled for all the "house show" dates of the Mania revenge tour to face off for the WHC, some of which might have stips, but if Swagger is not going to be depushed after the Mania match, they could potentially extend the feud to Extreme Rules, as really, there's no one else for ADR to face unless Ziggler cashes in and wins at Mania.

I'm not a huge fan of feuds being extended post Wrestlemania and I've said the reason for here before. Wrestlemania is supposed to be the unique event I feel the Extreme Rules is the time for a few fresh feuds to begin.

I'm not to sure at the moment, because there are numerous dirt sheets and various websites reporting this. Below I have provided 3 different links:

Dave Meltzer is now reporting that both Brock Lesnar and the Rock are going to appear at Extreme Rules.
 
Personally, I don't find that as earthshattering as Meltzer. Mostly because since February the Rock has been advertised for Extreme Rules.
 
Rumors still have Rock & Brock being at SummerSlam, possibly facing each other. If that's the case, it would make sense to start the build up for that right after WM29. Or am I the only one that remembers when main events of the Big Four shows were always built up months in advance?
 
Now I'm sure some folks are going to start to wonder if advertising the Rock & Brock for Extreme Rules might be foreshadowing the results for WM29. I have to say I doubt it. Recently WWE has struggled with overbooking, which can be the result of not deciding the outcome well in advance. Plus Vince is rather famous for changing his mind at the last minute.

Don't be fooled by reports of the Rock leaving right away to go film Brett Ratner's Hercules movie. There's several reports that say the movie won't be filming until August, but that's all changed several times. The Rock has been off filming a movie while doing the build up for WM29 and WWE didn't take the belt away from him. Plus he's still got GI Joe coming up in May, so he's going to be doing publicity for that. (We all know Vince wants to see the current WWE Champion on the talk shows.)
 
Regardless to how either guy ends up being used at Extreme Rules, it's a good move by WWE to bring them both. I think some of the big names at WM29 won't be around:
 
* CM Punk has been removed from shows following WM29, he's been banged up for some time and the company wants to let him get better.
* The Undertaker normally takes off after WM regardless.
* Triple H isn't going to be wrestling full-time ever again. Even if he wins his match & isn't forced to "retire."
* Chris Jericho will be gone as Fozzy has a European tour set to start April 11th. (Although, WWE will also be on European tour later that month, so he might pop up on Raw.)

That's going to leave John Cena, the Rock and Brock Lesnar as the only big name main eventers.

It should just be a triple threat at Extreme Rules for the title between those three big name main eventers
