A podcast called WrestleCast interviewed Ric Flair, and asked the question. "Do you think Shawn will ever come back to wrestling" Ric said "Oh Yes, but not for a very long time"

Shawn left because he wanted more time with his kids and I doubt he will want to change that.

And when his kids aren't kids, he could come back in a non-wrestling role. How old are his kids anyway?

The couple have a son, Cameron Kade (born on January 5, 2000) and a daughter, Cheyenne Michelle (born on August 19, 2004).

10 and 5. I'd imagine we will see him in a non-wrestling role before they reach 18, though i doubt we will see him wrestle ever again, after his leaving promos, if he EVER got into a ring again i'd be severely disappointed.

a non-wrestling role would probably appeal to him after a decent amount of time away from the business. But with a 5 and 10yr old, i can see why he wants to spend time at home now. dont want to miss the best years

He probably should've gone further and asked "Do you think Shawn will ever wrestle again". That would've been a good one to hear his thoughts on, and at least on that one, the yes and no answer wouldn't both tell us basically the same thing.

I'm still pretty disappointed in his send off, I think it should of been a way bigger deal than it turned out to be, considering the career he's had.

I actually always thought he'd be one who'd retire on a win, considering the talent and credibility he still had when he retired. If Stratus can do it, I think Shawn should have done it too.

Shawn Michaels has had an amazing career and what a way to end it by getting defeated by The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. They both have alot of respect for each other, just like Flair did with Shawn.

Maybe he didnt want to retire on a win, maybe he was happy to go out to a loss especially if it was against Undertaker but yeah, it would've been nice if HBK did go out on top but in a way I think he did, by putting on an awesome performance against Taker at Wrestlemania 26.
