Well Shawn did a hell of a job fighting back from the Undertaker, although I thought their match at Wrestlemania 25 was more exciting. As I've said before, Shawn is good friends with Taker, they've had some really good matches together over the years. What a way to end it all with improving Taker's winning streak!

I said something along these lines that night, I will say it again. The sendoff was done the way it was done specifically to be different from Flair, possibly requested to be that way by HBK himself as a message that he won't be pulling a Flair. Flair had this grandiose super-sendoff from his friends and everybody in the company, whereas Michaels' sendoff was as personal as can be while showing him respect like he deserves. It was like Flair's goodbye was shared with the industry but mostly WWE, whereas Michaels' sendoff was shared with only his brother from another mother, the locker room leader whose respect and friendship he took a long time to earn, and last but not least, the fans. Also notice that he said something about how he intended to honor the promise of never wrestling again that night. I truly think he wanted it to be the way it was, respectful but real, as opposed to sparkly and grandeur-filled like Ric Flair's sendoff, and maybe he even saw Flair's sendoff as a sign of an over-inflated view of the gratitude and respect due to entertainers like himself and wanted to take us back to reality for a minute.

Yeah, as a fan i found HBKs final speech the most heartfelt and moving farewell I have seen. Just HBK and the fans - how special was that? I was far more moved by that than Flair's humungous send-off. Flair made his goodbye all about himself - HBK made it all about the fans (with nods to those in the business who helped him). Pure class. I really miss HBK on my screen.

I admit I had tears for Flairs but I didnt cry, with Shawns I did because it was so heartfelt and pure, just Shawn showing respect to the fans and thanking them, just showcased how much of a true legend Shawn is and I doubt we will see Shawn steal another show again.

Ultimate rumour killer -

– Shawn Michaels noted today on his newly launched Twitter account that he was backstage at last Monday’s double RAW television taping, which took place in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. He said he watched the show backstage with “The Boss,” while his family sat ringside. “It was great 2 C all the wwe cast & crew monday nite in SA. Momma & the kids watched from ringside & I sat w/the Boss in back,” Michaels wrote. It was his first visit to a WWE show since retiring in March.

There is only one way that Shawn is ever coming back and thats in a non wrestling role should he want to be part of the wwe creative team when Vince dies and the Levesque's take over and don't kid yourself that they aren't they will.

He should be the new "anonymous" Raw GM, it's non-wrestling and Shawn would be a great man for the job with his experience.

I think we can throw the rumor that Vince is telling all the announcers and backstage people not too mention HBK's name or any footage on him out the window.

This week on Superstars, during a match between Vince Archer and Curt Hawkins and The Dudebusters. Curt did his elbow move from the turn buckle and Todd Grisham said 'Curt's showing shades of the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels there'.

Also on this week's Smackdown at the start of the Intercontinental Championship match. Todd Grisham was naming some of the former Intercontinental Champions that became big stars, Todd mentioned Shawn Michaels as one of them.

Of course it doesn't mean that Vince isn't mad at Shawn.......it just means he didn't tell the announcers to not say his name.
