Quote Apart from Ultimate Warrior, Yokozuna and The Undertaker, the Saudi leaders also asked to see Hulk Hogan at the recently completed Greatest Royal Rumble. However, perhaps not wanting to risk controversy, WWE decided not to make that move.

-- Amid all the recent reports of Hogan nearing a WWE return, the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that the wording of WWE's public statement on the matter "Hogan is not currently under contract to WWE" pretty much tells everyone that they are close to an agreement.

-- If and likely when Hogan does return to WWE, it remains to be seen what his role will be. Reports suggest that he will actually get in the ring and wrestle, but he is 65 years old and WWE has already seen what's happened to Jerry Lawler and Ricky Steamboat in the past.

Hulk has extreme views, so would have fitted in well with the Saudis.
He should be never put in a match ever again. We don't need to see that even for nostalgia purposes.
Give him to Renee Young to work with on all the PPV kick off shows. He could even leave the panel desk to do a in ring pre show interview segment, instead of the Network over advertising an event those who want to watch it are already watching anyway.

I wouldn’t mind to see Hogan back in WWE. It’s where he belongs. Not as a wrestler but in some form. He was such a staple for so many years in WWE. Foley, Angle, Michaels and Piper just to name a few would make their appearances from time to time and it was good to see them. I say let him come back and have a little fun just no wrestling.

WWE is Hogan’s home and he deserves some sort of role with the company as he will always be one of the most recognisable people in the business to the casual fan.

I would quite like to see him in a GM role, perhaps co GM on Raw with Kurt Angle? That would be a interesting combination and a good contrast of styles.

I wouldn’t be against Hogan working one more match for nostalgic purposes and as a official retirement match, kind of like what they did with Nash having him do a match with Triple H to put a full stop on his WWE career. But any match Hogan does now would have to be heavily gimmicked to protect him and hide his limitations. Hogan is one of the best storytellers and a expert at working the crowd, his matches have never been about athleticism or technical wrestling.
