That would never be able to happen where Grado is working with ICW as they are 18+ shows.
Y'know what?....It's really fucking hot here in Africa. Who knew?....Well me, I have been doing this for almost 5 years

He's not ICW/TNA exclusive though is he?

I dunno, he has done other shows in the past SWA and Wrestlezone but with his current schedule with his acting work dunno if he is just ICW atm. However when/if Grado goes back to TNA i am sure WoS would jump at the chance to have him defend the title on their show

I'm seeing reports it got 1.25 million watching for a 7% audience share and that ITV will likely be dissapointed as the following show Ninja Warrior UK at 7 pm cracked two million.

Personally I think that's a good debut audience, way above TNA gets even stateside in their prime and isn't that far behind an established franchise show in it's third series and with three well known popular hosts.

It was new years eve so people would have been out or thinking about it. Plus that afternoon there was a packed football schedule finishing at WOS start time so people would have been on their way home. 6-8 just that extra hour would have made a bit of difference.

That's a decent pull for a one off family special for something that hasn't aired for so long, and something that changed from it's roots.

Quote From Jim Ross Website

No word yet on ITV picking up the World of Sport wrestling series after the successful two hour special that aired in Britain on New Years Eve that apparently garnered over 1M viewers on what I'd assume was a challenging night. I do know that ITV executive were happy with the feedback that they have received and that an announcement is expected soon as in any time.

Surprised a decision is taking so long. Wouldn't think it was good news that it's not been confirmed yet.

It was also up against Liverpool vs Manchester City so competition was definiately tough.

Weekly on ITV all year round should be the goal or at the very least have the weekly show on one of their other free channels ITV 2-4 and then a few times a year have some big three hour PPV style show specials on the main ITV channel.

Ahh the old Itv World of sport wrestling, on a Satdy afternoon, while you were waiting for the footy results to come in. Brings back good memories Cool

On the subject of WWF ppv's here in the Uk, I wish they could give us one of the ppv's again instead of what we get these days.
I wasnt a fan in those days but look at Summerslam '92, at a completely packed out and hyped up Wembley stadium. The audience is here and there wouldnt be a problem in selling it out, even if it was for one of the lesser shows.
Acido Tyke!!
Barnsley FC fan and WWF wrestling fan forever :)

http://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2018-04-25/itv-to-bring-uk-wrestling-back-to-saturday-afternoons/

Good news for fans over here and a chance for more UK guys to get some much needed exposure.

I think that's the horrible venue E used last year for their own UK show, but it's better than nothing.

I wonder who will be involved with many who were involved with this when it was originally brought back now signed with E, such as Jim Ross.
