- A young boy threw his drink at Chris Jericho during a match against Evan Bourne
at the WWE live event this weekend in
Shreveport, Louisiana. Jericho stopped the match, got on the mic and
demanded that the kid be removed from the arena. Security thencorted
the boy and his father out of the building.

The kid clearly didn't understand the meaning of the word kayfabe.
Jericho did the right thing as the kid deserved to be punished for going too far.
Not sure about heel heat though as he probably got pops from the crowd for getting the last word with a naughty kid.

Lately he's been getting some increasing crowd support though. I think even he was surprised at the "Y2J" chants that broke out on these past few Raws. The reason he tweeted it would suggest he is trying to garner back some heel credibility. I think however most people are about ready to see some changes to his current persona, and as they're releasing a triple DVD in September it makes sense for them to turn him face or make him uber-heel (which it appears with this building argument with Cena), purely for marketing purposes.
Adders I see what you're saying about the naughty kid but most WWE fans would probably take it as him being rude and obnoxious. Apparently he's had nothing but abuse over it from fans. |

I'd love to see him turn face again. The period during his match where he did some throwback stuff (the little bit gettin the crowd going after the springboard dropkick on sheamus) was awesome.
I think him turning face now would make him even more popular, given the amount of respect and support hes garnered from fans during this heel run hes had. |

I think his popularity has probably dipped a bit over the last couple of years, with most of his fans being the same ones he's had all along. He's getting a bit of a rep for being upper top card failure. I think the only way he can diminish that idea now would be to turn face and crank up the humour again. And that's not a knock on him btw, I adore him:)

Acting like he threw lava at him would be more like writhing in pain or something. I'm all for chants and signs and stuff being allowed to go free, but if you think fans should be allowed to throw random shit at people risking their own health to perform for them without any extraordinary shocking cause for it (like the Hogan heel turn or Jarrett hogging the belt all Triple H-like), especially in the middle of a wrestling match where anything goes wrong and you can get hurt badly, the only thing that will inevitably lead (back) to is this. And if not that, then this.

I can't believe you people you're so harish on a kid and Jericho didn't have to do that it's not like he was hurt or anything FFS sake it was just a little drink if someone threw it at him than he is doing his job right he is a heel that means fans should hate him. I think he is a MAJOR DOUCHEBAG if the kid was under 10 years old and he just lost a lot of respect from me

Well he could've smacked the impostered child & then could've been called a douchebag. Now say you was walking outside & someone throws there drink @ you your literally gonna sit here & say you won't be mad @ that. I don't care if the child is just born & they throw something @ me that's a fight coming your way. The principle is that it's disrespectful to throw things @ people that's like (Spatting) on someone which is by far the most disrespect you can show towards a person. Jericho hasn't lost my respect @ all he actually gained more respect from me because he doesn't descriminate on age. He is still the best in the world aka the living legend aka the king of the world aka the king of bling bling aka Y2J. Jericho has saved us from the sheep fans which is why I'm a major fan of his. |
