Maybe now the topic on who took out Undertaker can get back on topic
If you don't know if it was a good or bad decision simply don't vote until you do.
That's what i'm going to do as I see where it goes. First impressions i'm 50/50.

After his promo on Smackdown I truly believe he can handle being the top guy on Smackdown. |

Horrid decision, for all the reasons explained in the other thread.
The only defence I've heard for Kane being champion is 'hes loyal' and 'he was good 10 yrs ago', which sort of emphasises the point that he shouldnt be champ in 2010 as his glory days are a decade past him. |

I can bet that the only reason they put belt on him was cause Taker didn't want to work non-title feud

Okay, when did Kane ever have glory days besides being a WWE Champion 1 time & maybe a few times being Intercontinental & Tag Team champions. I really don't wanna bring up the Hardcore & ECW title reigns.

Well, thats sort of the point, he didnt have a great period of success, but if I had to pick his 'glory years', it would of probably been 2001 where he had the Royal Rumble record, solid match with Raven and Big Show at Wrestlemania, and run with Taker against Power Trip and against the WCW tag teams in the Invasion. Nearly a decade back.

I feel 2003 was alright when he took his mask off & was kidnapping people I found that very entertaining. His feud with Shane was decent even though it had moments to where your like (WTF) just happened. The invasion in 2001 was nice but it seemed RVD always got the better of Kane even when they feuded in 2003 after Kane chokeslammed him which I thought was funny & brillant @ the same time.
Kane is 1 of those guys that has the audience behind him & not even sheep fans can deny that. When Kane talked about chokeslamming Mysterio I didn't hear any boo's coming from the crowd instead I heard applause & cheers which was something I really liked.
I still find it funny that Kane can give (Awesome) promo's but back then his character didn't talk when he had the mask on does anyone else notice that or is it just me ???

I love how people are denouncing Kane's career as some horrible waste of time where he has done nothing and is sudddenly a World Champion. Let me go through the list again. 3 time World Champion (WWE, WHC, ECW)
2 Intercontinental Champion
10 (YES! 10!) time Tag Team Champion.
1 time Hardcore Champion (though isn't a major title).
16 titles in 12 years. Undertaker has managed 15 in 20. So don't be saying Kane has achieved nothing. He is one of the best and has had a very succesful career, unless all of a sudden the IC and Tag titles mean nothing just because he won them.
For me, Kane has always been better at tag wrestling. My favourite Kane time was when he was with Taker as the BoD. He suits tag wrestling and has had some good partnerships. I've always wanted them to further cultivate his tag career. Give him a good partner and he can do wonders. They were teasing a Kane/Drew McIntyre team when Drew first started but it never materialised. It would have been a team I think that would have done well. Kane has the necessary star power to get Drew notice but also it allows Drew to hone is mic and in ring abilities while masking his flaws behind Kane's experience. He's been pretty piss poor on his own.
But as for this poll, I definitely think Kane should be WHC. No one else on that roster should hold it. CM Punk should again. Swagger when he sorts his acting out.

Great promo on Smackdown. Showed us all what he can do when given the chance, what he's done before. Universal support for the man. He must be bloody chuffed to know that so many are behind him and hold him in such high esteem.
Particularly liked the ending to his promo and the explosion of his pyro. He looks dominant. He looks unbeatable and that is what we like to see.
And seeing as we've all pretty much accepted that it was him who did the undertaker in, is it not possible that WWE could throw a curveball and make Taker the heel? I don't know, someone changed him from the person Kane idolised so he attacked him, putting him in a coma. Or, is it possible that WWE could throw the biggest curveball and actually have Kane win this one? He dominated Taker at W14 and in the Inferno Match but still lost. By Taker's own admittance, no one man challlenged him like Kane did.
