I think he is a blue chip guy. I have no idea why... LoL yea I do. But anyways. I went looking for him and didnt find much. Anyone get FCW matches on him? Hes got charisma and the look, but if he has the ring skill he could be a big star.

Im thinking Billy Kidman in WCW, flashy, polished ring work.

Which is all the reason I need to think that he'll be the jobber of the group.

"Lucky" is looking like an instant #8 at the moment. Watching him tonight, he came across as green, or maybe it was just nerves the first time out.

I like Cannon. Even though his name is awful, I like him! His in-ring style reminds me of "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. I'm not saying that he's the performer/talker that HBK was, but his style is similar.
 
I really think he is a front runner to "win" season 2.

He's been through a lot in his past and that alone makes him automatic babyface.
 
It's another sob story though to get fans behind him, when fans should only care about who's entertaining.
 
I've seen little from him so far. He should be a favourite for an early elimination.

Well he got ranked where he should have IMO. Unfortunately he hasnt gotten to do much. I have seen him perform 4 moves. But, he has a look, the size and probably the best mic skills behind Riley of the whole bunch. I think if he is allowed to get some moves in he could be a top 4 or 5 guys of the group, which IMO says something when this season of NXT is just stacked with talent top to bottom, and the 1st guy eliminated is a solid enough big man in Titus.

       I hope he's not going to blow kisses to the audience and hug Striker everytime he wins something Dead If he got that excited over winning a beer keg carrying contest, he'll be humping peoples legs if he actually wins a match hehe.

Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

As noted before, NXT season 2 Rookie Lucky Cannon was formerly known as Johnny Prime in WWE developmental. Apparently he was given the Lucky Cannon name because WWE didn't want anymore John's on the roster.

I can understand not wanting another John when they have the Cena and Morrison already about.
 
I don't understand why the name Lucky though, which makes him sound like a lowly jobber from the off.
 
They could have given him a better name in developmental knowing he wasn't going to be called John.

Yeah admin, guys with the name "Lucky" are anything but lucky usually - kind of hapless guys who fall down open manholes, or have pianos drop on them from a few floors up lol.
