My Resignation

When I first came here three years ago I tried to put my all into posts and tried to make every post as close to high quality as I could; and when I was chosen mod by Adders I tried to do what I thought was right. I do thank Adders for giving me the position (and holding it for me while I was gone.)

But the reality of my life doesn't allow for neither posting as I used to on any kind of regular basis nor performing my duties as a mod. I have an insane amount of university work to do, plus my work. Because of that, I won't be able to be back here on any kind of regular full time basis for the foreseeable future. I won't have the time to monitor every thread each day as someone in a moderator position should and as this place needs. Me being gone for so long  as well as me barely being here when I am here is an injustice to the position and to TUP. Therefore I have come to the realization that it is in the best interest of the forum that I should resign. 

So all those who hated my modship can rejoice (there were some people that I was close to banning.) But I just want it to be known that nothing I ever did as far as suspending anyone, threatening to suspend, or dolling out warnings was ever personal; and I bare no ill will towards anyone here. I just simply did what I believed was in the best interest of the forum in a futile effort to work towards having a forum where everyone treated each other with respect as we once had.  

So the flood gates are open as far as who the new mod will be. There will be the obvious people who will step up and want it. But let's face it; if JTB actually became mod he would just quit in two weeks as he did TUPardy and his Ticket Wars card.  I already left a note for Adders who I think should replace me; but in the end it is the decision of Adders and Joe. 

I'll be around sporadically from time to time. Willy can do what he wants with Ticket Wars or give it to someone else.
