Great to see it finally brought back. Just a shame it's for the developmental brand, but hopefully it's done properly.

The gimmick has made me more interested than usual in NXT and I won't be alone, therefore E have done their job.

I hope the Texan crowd are full of life for it and that it sells out.

The recent NXT Takeover events are probably up there as the best PPV's in years in terms of match quality so i have no doubt that this will be done well

The NXT crowds are always up for it so i see that being no different here

I'm really looking forward to the event inparticulaly the Mcintyre v Almas match ... Almas' recent matches have been really good and i think he will be well suited to the style drew wrestles so that will make for interesting viewing

Its worth noting that he used to wrestle as La Sombra - someone i picked in one of my very first ticket wars!!!

He's really improved as a character of late...no coincidence that since he's had a mouthpiece/manager in Vega this has happened strange that huh?

As for the War Games match I just hope it isn't booked as a clusterfuck...

Quote There has been speculation regarding the War Games match and if it would feature just one or two rings at the upcoming NXT Takeover: War Games event next month. Traditionally the match featured two rings.

According to The Toyota Center’s Facebook page, the NXT Takeover: War Games match will, in fact, feature two rings.

Says a lot about E when it has to be officially confirmed that they aren't going to ruin a gimmick.

It should have been a given that it would be two rings, but at least the announcement stops speculation.

Going to be great seeing someone take a back body drop from one ring into the other.

Takeover Events are always good, so it's no surprise here. This gimmick fits perfectly with NXT as it's been WWE's professional wrestling brand since it's reboot in 2012. Using an old NWA professional wrestling PPV gimmick is a great match.

They'll be working on a reduced crowd having two rings then so that'll need to be taken into account.

True, but the Takeover Events are usually booked in a full-sized venue and not that dinky little bingo hall the tv tapings are recorded in... usually. It would pretty much have to be a full-sized venue this time around right? I guess I haven't paid much attention to where it's happening, but their normal location wouldn't be able to fit in any crowd if they held wargames.

It's at the Toyota Centre in Houston so probably circa 15k?

I'd be shocked if there was less than that to be honest - given how popular the Takeover events have been

Adding to that the nostalgia of having a WarGames match - surely thats got to be an extra draw ?

There were 15,589 at Brookyln and 15,671 at Brooklyn 2 - which has been the highest attendance

Given the nature of this one id expect that record to be broken - the attendance of the toyota centre is just over 18k so it will be touch and go as to whether the record will be broken or not
