I was annoyed we didn't get more segments of it and that we had to wait until so far in to the show, only for them to not interact.

Also as Graves correctly pointed out why was he making her wait? Otis should have been at the table.

The ending was nicely booked though with Otis getting the wrong idea just because she was having a drink with Dolph.

Sonya Deville is getting rave reviews for her promo on Smackdown, it was very good certainly the best character work we've seen from her in WWE to date. Some of the comments she made were pretty accurate too.

Sonya is definitely charismatic and a skilled worker as well as a legit fighter, it's about time she got a decent push.

Was interesting to see how Dolph intervened, I'm wondering if this storyline will end up with a swerve of Dolph and Mandy getting together, I don't see the Otis and Mandy pairing being a long-term thing I think that was more to get to the happy ending at Wrestlemania, moving forward I could see Mandy as a good valet for Ziggler, plus it's rumoured the two are dating off camera so they obviously have legit chemistry which will make it seem more natural rather than a fake storyline relationship between Otis and Mandy.

Sonya said a lot of truthful comments which fans who see her in person will tell her she agrees with, whilst in her mind she's annoyed people think that about her best mate in the business LOL

We've been wrestling fans long enough to know when Sonya couldn't get her words out for crying, she would go all serious and be nasty.

It was noticeable that for all the pleading Dolph did when Mandy was attacked, he didn't physically stop her.

Whilst I understand how over Otis is, I was still very surprised that he won the MITB match.

Not necessarily a bad thing but I had a few questions on this, all of which are good questions and show the potential with WWE going this route instead of something more predictable:

Otis is being pushed heavy, what does this mean for HM?
Will Tucker cost Otis the title?
Will Mandy cost Otis the title?
Will WWE go the Kofi route and actually put the title on Otis?
Could Otis be the one that turns heel given we currently have 2 baby face champions?

Strange choice for the win but it's said Vince McMahon is very high on Otis so he was likely the driving force behind this decision.

I don't see a heel turn in Otis' future, he's far too natural in the comedic babyface role, but then again it's hard to imagine him in main events with his current persona.

One option would be to have the briefcase become the stake in his feud with Ziggler where Otis puts it on the line in a match. Another option would be to have The Fiend attack Strowman and then have Otis come out and pin a beaten down Braun becoming champion which allows Braun and Wyatt to continue their feud without the title and then Otis can be a transitional champion before dropping the belt to someone else, maybe Ziggler?

I enjoyed Otis on Smackdown this week and may have underestimated him as a potential top guy, he plays the sympathetic babyface well and hes effective as a dumb but loveable character.
The storyline with him having a Universal title shot in the bag is interesting. I like how they played out a bit of subtle tension between Otis and Braun through the episode.

At this point they could do worse than put the belt on Otis, I don't see Braun as a long-term champion.

So I caught the end of Smackdown last week and I got an idea.

The fact that I don't like the concept of Money In The Bank and capitalizing on a weakened champion aside...

I want one of the three Women's Champions (preferably not Asuka) to be laid out somehow. Then I want Otis and Mandy to come down, and Otis to give the Money In The Bank briefcase to Mandy and let her take the title shot, giving it to her for love. And I want her to win the belt and embrace Otis.

And then I want her to actually stay with him. Smile

I think it's more likely that Otis goes to cash in and Mandy turns on him costing him the title, then she alligns herself with Ziggler.

I wouldn't be against Otis having a run as champion, it's new and fresh and worth a try, but I just don't see it. Otis can be a solid high mid-card act or a tag guy but it's hard to see him headlining PPV's.

Sadly you might be right. But I wasn't talking about what is more likely. I was talking about what I'd rather see.
