From Jim Ross website.........

Quote HBK is one of the most talented wrestlers I have ever laid eyes on and is also one of the most passionate individuals I have ever met in this business. Shawns talents are immeasurable and I anxiously await his return to the ring, which I still think is months away. HBK is the closest thing to a younger Ric Flair wrestling today. For an athlete to take almost 4 years off and still come back and be as good as anyone on the roster is amazing and thats exactly what HBK did a few years ago. Shawn is a Hall of Famer to be and I hope I am around to see his induction.

What is everyones general opinion on Shawn Michaels and his career? Mine is that Shawn Michaels is one of the greatest wrestlers, talkers and performers of all time. If someone goes into the business, it's guys like him that they should model themselves on. It is a shame people will remember his career for one night in Montreal more than his great career and top draw matches. For him to come back from his broken back and look like he had never been away was amazing.

He was without a doubt THE wrestler of the 90's

He is still one of the best around today...

He was a-part of one of the most revolutionary tag teams in history

He is an innovator and an originator...

He's a guy people emulate...

He IS MR.WRESTLEMANIA...

There will never be anyone better than HBK.

He has contributed so much over the years... he will never be 4gotten!

Jim Ross Website:HBK is still one of the top five in-ring talents in the world today. Shawn has the experience from wrestling in the territory system, the passion of being a life long fan, and the athletic ability that only God can gift one. HBK’s in ring skills are amazing considering he missed almost 4 years of in-ring activity with a bad back and is presently wrestling on knees that have seen their better days. HBK’s upcoming DVD should be a huge hit. I can’t wait to see it myself.
it should be great, but i have a mixed reaction at the moment, due to the fact that they are using him to burry ortons title run, then when orton loses the title, they will say it didnt work again, and it probally wont happen for another 3 years, if ever.

From Jim Ross Website............

Quote HBK was a challenging individual to be around back in the day and that has made for an interesting journey between he and I. Our relationship today is excellent and I am proud of the man that Shawn Michaels has become. The interview he referenced in his book, which is an excellent read by the way, was when he loaded his shorts with socks or something to annoy me. It was sophomoric, but funny when I look back on it… the interview, not the manhood.

I think when he does eventually call it a day in the ring (he's obviously slowing down these days), he will be remembered for all the best reasons. Yes he's been a twat at times and treated talented shabily because of being in the clique. However I think he will be remembered for five star matches, coming back from a broken back and being one of the most loyal WWE guys. I still enjoyed his Heartbreak Hotel segments with Diesel as his bodyguard.

I think that he will be remembered for both his in-ring classics and his backstage antics as well. You can't actually dissociate both, especially in the Attitude era and with the Montreal screwjob. There is no doubt that his legacy is unparalleled. I mean, for someone to come back to such a high level of competition after 4 years because of a broken back and virtually not missing a beat, that shows you how gifted Shawn Michaels is. Without a doubt, one of the greatest wrestlers of his generation.

Jim Ross Website: HBK has had numerous memorable matches since he returned from his 4 year exile. I can’t recall an occasion where Michaels hasn’t elevated whomever with which he is in the ring. HBK matches with Hogan, Cena, and HHH, among others, all were uniquely contested and enjoyed from my personal perspective.
my god, the match with hogan was pretty good, it just was smashed by the fact hogan won, then refused to put him over and went off whining like bitch for like the 100th time. but michaels is one of the best ever, back in the day, and today aswell, thats what makes him so good, he is an example of what i like in true legends. him and taker all the way. i think they should have michaels vs taker for the next mania, cause they havent had it in so long, and the royal rumble ending was fantasstic, the tag matches were great so it would sell compeltely. fans would love it! as will i! maybe have like undertaker throw out an open challedge on ecw, then smackdown, which no one answers. then finally on raw he throws out the open challedge for a match at mania and have michaels theme hit and he comes down and accepts. classic moment for raw, and an awesome match for mania!

To be honest, the Hogan/Micheals match was one of my favorites. People were worried that Shawn Micheals would shoot on Hogan, because Hogan was being such an asshole. Instead Shawn got the better of Hulk Hogan bu giving him exactly what he wanted.

From Jim Ross website................

Quote hey jr, could u tell us fans about ur fav. hbk matches? Maybe a top 5 list, in no particular order? Cheers! – Sid

NOT SURE WHAT EXACT MATCHES, BUT OPPONENTS WOULD INCLUDE BRET HART, MANKIND, VADER, THE UNDERTAKER, HHH, AND THE BRITISH BULLDOG. I actually was entertained by the DX mocking the National segment. DX has done many memorable segments, which makes it difficult to pick one out off the top of my head.

Picking five matches above all others is very hard. Although it would probably be in no particular order............

* Bret Hart Wrestlemania 12 Iron Man match.
* Chris Jericho Wrestlemania 19.
* Vader Summerslam 1996.
* Razor Ramon Wrestlemania 10 ladder match.
* Mankind In Your House 10 Mind Games.

No doubt some of you will jog my memory and I might change my list. But he does tend to put his best matches on at Wrestlemania.
