Quote The Miz is in the ring, and he's got the World Cup trophy with him. Miz gets on the mic and addresses Shane McMahon, and demands that he comes out and listens to what Miz has to say. The Miz gets on one knee and begs Shane to please come out to the ring, and this is about so much more than Shane even knows. Shane finally comes out to the ring, and he asks Miz what's up and if everything is okay. Miz says Shane won't answer his calls or return his texts, and they could be so good together if he gave them a chance. Miz says Shane is scared, and he's scared too. Miz says they owe it to each other to tag team one more time. Shane says this whole thing with the trophy is starting to get a little weird. Miz calls for a referee, and then he announces that he and Shane are going to take on two local enhancement talents from Las Vegas.

- Shane McMahon & The Miz vs. The Vegas Boys: Shane is standing in the ring as the bell rings, and it looks like Shane wants no part of this match, but the local enhancement talent attacks Shane from behind. Shane fights them off and connects with punches. Shane hits a back elbow on one jobber, then he punches the other one off the apron. Shane hits a DDT and then a knee drop. Shane puts one jobber in a triangle choke and he taps out.

Winners: The Miz & Shane McMahon

- Shane doesn't look pleased with The Miz as The Miz celebrates.

I have been enjoying watching Miz trying to get on the good side of one third best in the world Shane Mcmahon.

Credit to E for finding a decent way for jobber talent to be brought in for a match scenario.

It's got to be leading to them eventually being tag team champions, possibly coming out of Wrestlemania.

I'm hoping it'll just lead to a feud where Miz is Heel, and Shane is babyface, and nothing more. I'm not interested in seeing them as a tag team nor in Miz as a babyface.

Agreed. They tried The Miz as a face once before and it tanked, the guy is just too naturally unlikeable to be a babyface, he’s a heel through and through, everything from his look, his ring style, his promos, his mannerisms and just his personality it all screams heel.

With this scenario I would rather just see a Shane/Miz heel alliance than anything, maybe teaming on occasion but mostly with Miz as the in ring guy and Shane on the outside.

Disagree. It's because he's been a heel for so many years that people prefer him in that role. He's popular with fans, never gets injured, comes across well on the reality shows and is dependable for media appearances. Plus he's got the look and the hot wife. There is zero reason for him not to be a super over babyface, higher than the glass ceiling he always reached as a heel.

I hope they win the tag team titles now at Royal Rumble, as it leaves a lot of scope for where it can go between them.

You can easily see comical skits of Miz holding both titles like a solo champion. Just like when Christian would act like KOTR winner when Edge won it.
