I'd like to see AJ vs Rob Terry for the Global title WITHOUT KAZ just to see how AJ goes. Terry was robbed from that title because of dirty tatics, and I never like that, especially with a title on the line.......I bet Flair did though.

Well they should make a television Tag belt instead of a X div tag belt to make it look like a stepping stone from Silver to gold (X division or World Heavyweight)
If I have got a chance to do something about this belt I would have *Made Morgan get the Global belt. *Make him look dominating while he defeated every single opponent AJ did while he is also holding the World Heavyweight belt. *Nake them square of on a PPV to change the names and label which one is the Silver and Golde tier belts. *Make Morgan lose and name it Heavyweight Championship and make AJ win and name the World heavyweight belt into just World Championship belt. Now I would have got two shows and made one show have the X division belt and the other the Heavyweight belt. Then have the World Championship belt as the link between the two brands (as well as the World tag belts). Then I am going to introduce the TV belts and the TV tag belts which is the bronze tier. So World and World Tag = Gold Heavy and X division = Silver TV and TV Tag = Bronze. This sounds like a good plan IMO. And I would have got Up in the smoke and Generation me fight for the TV tag belts for 2-4 months. That would have been a awesome fued. |

Global Championship definitely needs a name change. Also needs a prestigious Champion to give it some credibility because it's a nothing belt at the moment. TNA Heavyweight, Tag Team and X Division are coveted belts in TNA but Global is sort of a nothing title. I personally don't take it seriously.
In my honest opinion, I think it needs to be scrapped. I think the X Division belt needs to be the second belt. Look at RAW and Smackdown. They have WWE/WHC, WWE/World Tag, IC/US and Women's/Diva's belts. TNA could just have TNA WHC, TNA World Tag, X-Division and Knockout's title. There is no need for another title.
It won't be scrapped though, so my name change suggestions would be:
1) TNA National Championship
2) TNA North American Championship
3) TNA North Atlantic Championship
I also wouldn't mind the creation of a Hardcore belt. TNA X-Treme Championship. Then we have a belt for everything.

Look it is going to be the TNA Global Television Championship... I'm sure it will be commonly called the Television Championship. Maybe they'll switch to World Television Champion... but I think the Global Television Championship sounds fine. It finally make sense (in a pro-wrestling sense) and is still way better than the odd-ball Legends Championship.
Back when JCP had the Mid-Atlantic version of the NWA Television Championship... they renamed the "World Television Championship" to make is sound more important. And since nearly every NWA member with any local TV deal had their own Television Champion... JCP wanted their title to sound more important since they had the national TV deal thru Turner.
Most Television Championship actually have more grandiose formal names. The AWA's belt was officially called the "International Television Championship." Even Ring of Honor calls their belt "World Television Championship." But these title were frequently called just the Television (or even TV) Championship by the announcers and fans.

Yeah, they should have called it TV instead of Global in the first place. And Global sounds like World so they realized they did a stupid thing. Global belt was actually made for the international wrestlers and to make EY become a main eventer, but it failed due to Hulk and EB coming to TNA. |
