If you take the matches for what they are and don't rely on any build, then I enjoyed this week's offering. Not a lot of chit chat in comparison to just how much there used to be, the only downer is the Sam Shaw and that shitty storyline. Needs to be buried in a six foot hole and covered with cement. Oh and Bully being hijacked again and going through a table. This too needs to stop. If you can't have Bully beaten legitimately in a tables match then don't frigging book it.

Anyway, enjoyed most of the matches, but the Tag title match was too crowded.

I'm liking Lashley as the dark destroyer, as long as someone else is his mouthpiece and I think MVP more than fits the build. and I don't mind him Lashley as Heavyweight Champion at all. I'm hoping Bobby Roode getsĀ  a look in soon as well as Samoa Joe. Kurt Angle proving just how good he is on the mic and his backstage segments were gold. Shame I got a whiff of a heel turn in the future that I think'll be for the X-Division title against Aries.

Loved Rhino returning and look forward to perhaps a feud between him and Bully Ray.

Not bad at all. As long as they keep Russo's shit to a minimum I'll always be happy

Agreed about Lashley, he lacks charisma but in the ring he's the business, he looks and carries himself like a champion so insert a mouthpiece and he's fine as a heel main eventer.

Roode is so far ok as a face as well, I was initially against it because he's such a natural heel but a change of direction was needed for him and so far he's seemed effective in his new character and is really over.

Angle kicks off the show again....Angle runs down what he's 'booked' for tonight, then calls out Willow err Jeff. Sod this Willow bollocks. Angles asks that Jeff is Jeff just for tonight, ok then.

Wolves vs Bram & Magnus for the Tag Titles - A very good tag match here. Wolves continue to impress, though I do wonder what Magnus has done to find himself in the tag title hunt so soon after a World Title run.

Booby comes out to cut a promo, skipped most of this, can guess it was about MVP as he came out and we end up getting a brawl as King starts on EY too. Lashley saves the day though.

Aries vs Sanada X Division Title - So Option C is in play again soon right? Aries wins a very good match, so two matches in, two good matches, can they keep it up....

Get a segment with Bully/Rhino/EC3/Spud, the heels beat on Bully until super Tommy saves the day, roll on  when they get it on properly and Dixie eats wood.

Gail vs Brittany vs Madison vs Angelina Knockouts title - Match seemed very slow, possibly just my take on it though. Gail retains.

Aries says he's cashing in at Destination X no shock there.

20 Man Battle Royal to determine #1 contender for World Title. Seems everyone of note is in the match. Anywho final 4 of King/Roode/Hardy/EY. MVP hit Roode with the crutch so King got him out, EY eliminated King, Jeff eliminated EY, Jeff wins, couldn't they come up with someone better?? Jeff still rambles on the mic, is he still on all kinds of crap?

Understated and Underrated.

Not loving Angle as GM, him having to read off a sheet of paper looks very amateurish and brings back memories of Mike Adamle.

Good show overall, Sanada vs Aries was a great match that sets A-double up to challenge for the World title at Destination-X.

Liking Lashley the destroyer as World champion, TNA are booking him to look a beast and having MVP as his mouthpiece is working nicely.

Enjoyed the promo with Bully Ray and Rhino, but then I always enjoy worked shoot stuff, Bully thrives with that sort of material to use and Rhino is also pretty solid when allowed to go unscripted on the mic. The only thing I don't like much is them using the done to death angle of one of two friends falling on hard times and the other friend doesn't help him resulting in a grudge.

Decent battle royal to close the show and finally Willow is history and Jeff Hardy is back, not before time.

Looking forward to the first of the New York tapings next week which have been reported to be the best tv TNA have done in years.

First of the NY tapings this week and they kicked it off with a really good show, lively crowd and the show had a old school New York feel to it. Taz opened the show with a fun promo where he used a lot of his old catch-phrases.

Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer vs ECIII and Rhino kicked things off which the crowd were really in to with Ray and Dreamer being New Yorkers, this fact was obviously put over heavily.

Austin Aries wrestled a X-division gauntlet match which included the Wolves, Manik, Crazy Steve, Tigre Uno and Sanada, decent match.

Roode and Eric Young vs Kenny King and MVP went to a non-finish, MVP was still on crutches so not sure if he's still legit injured or working a angle.

Great title match between Lashley and Jeff Hardy, it featured Jeff taking one of the sickest looking bumps I've seen, Lashley continues to impress me in the ring, this is how I like to see top heel talent booked, aggressive and dominant.

Dixie and her entourage closed the show with a entertaining promo where Dreamer, Bully and Devon came out resulting in Ethan Carter going through a table.

Quote From Jim Ross Website
  • partypistol Asks: Greetings from London Mr Ross. I got to see the first impact wrestling from New York, and I think this was smart business. The presentation was better and Ethan Carter finally impressed me with great work with the crowd. Also having Kurt Angle and Taz open was great too. Have you had the opportunity to see it yet and do you agree with me that this was a step in the right direction?
    J.R.'s Answer:

Yes...Impact has been making positive steps the past several weeks and I hope that they continue. I am pulling for them to succeed.

Way better than Orlando shows and i'm basing that on the most important factor which is match action.

Every member of the roster seemed to step up and be encouraged by their surrounding.

Even the crowd wasn't THAT markish apart from still not being over ECW.
