Yes, as although it's the promoters job to push advertising and such, ultimately it always falls on the back of the top wrestler, and his runs as champ bombed critically and commercially.

He's a draw on the indies no doubt, but he's big fish there, similar to TNA being too big to be local and too small to be national. The company is on a national cable channel. It used to run legit PPVs. They go overseas and do great business. But its too small to be national. They cant draw huge crowds all around the US because they are so small.

Plus they lost their lovable scrappy underdog image. They arent underdogs anymore, just failures.

I honestly do get that side of it, but if the company is making no moves to grow its audience, was AJ really given a good chance to get over?  let's face it, within TNA he didn't cause a drop in the audience or buyrates, even if at the same time he didn't encourage growth.

I've not watched for a few weeks now but may tune in for the London tapings as they are generally good shows.

The product has been good lately but it's been unable to keep me interested due to certain feuds seeming to drag on for ages and just a lack of fresh ideas, it seems that rather than try new things they just prolong existing feuds and storylines using stalling tactics which isn't the best way to keep viewers hooked.

The good news is several top talents have inked new deals the past few weeks and with TNA now allowing talent to accept more bookings outside of TNA this may entice more names into agreeing deals with the company making for a better and deeper roster, hopefully guys like AJ and Bad Influence may return on this basis and it should allow ROH talent to be able to sign with them as TNA now allow contracted wrestlers to work televised shows and iPPV's.

I've been impressed with the product lately and can give it a lot of praise, hence some rare TNA thread posts by me. The list of good include.......

1) Josh Matthews on commentary.

2) So many guys in and around the main event title picture rather than just a one on one fued.

3) The booking of guys like Drew Galloway and Bram.

4) The return of Mickie James and Awesome Kong.

Things that I don't like include.......

1) The booking of Robbie E against Brooke.

2) TNA losing Samoa Joe so soon after putting him in their brand new faction.

3) TNA losing Bully Ray who if he's not going to be a regular in WWE may as well go back to TNA so we at least get to see him.

4) Booking so many weeks of tapings in one go as the crowd enthuisiasm goes and match quality lowers as guys tire.

Watched about half hour myself last night, looks wayyyy downgraded from the Spike TV days, had a very "house show" feel about it.

MVP looks terrible. Whether that was the Man Utd themed attire or just how old and fat he looked, I don't know.

Low-Ki is a shit actor. Also the beatdown of McIntyre looked fake as hell. Seriously look at Kenny King's knee to him when hes on the ropes. I lol'd.

I did like the look of Bram tho.

Yeah think they've toned down the production going for more of a ECW look, it kind of works for the current product though. Decent crowd at London that was said to be close to 6K which is pretty good for TNA.

Things I currently like are.....

MVP, Drew Galloway, Bram, ECIII and Ken Anderson all being part of the roster and four of the five being used very prominently and doing well with their new characters. These are guys I rated in WWE and felt should have gone far there but they never did for whatever reasons.

Bobby Lashley, he has established himself as a Lesnar style beast in TNA, still pretty ropey on the mic but in the ring he's looked the business.

Austin Aries getting back towards the top of the card.

As Admin said several guys all being in or around the main event scene rather than it being the same old two or three.

The Women's division gathering steam again.

Stuff I don't like.....

The dim lighting which blacks out most of the crowd, prefer the brighter lighting like what WWE use.

The non-existent tag-division, only the Wolves left as far as established teams go.

James Storm's faction, two jobbers and a washed up guy that should have been released ages ago.

Samoa Joe being put in a prominent position when they knew his contract was nearly up and he may not re-sign. I'm not against him leaving as he hadn't been relevant or looked interested in TNA for years and needed a change of scene badly. His high pay-grade wasn't justified on what he was contributing.

Being unable to get Bully Ray to re-sign although I hold out some hope they may agree terms in the near future as doesn't seem like the WWE deal is going to materialise.

Part 2 of the Wembley tapings this past week which concluded the UK tour.....

The two episodes taped back to back at Wembley almost formed a PPV like show, a series of quality matches and no lengthy promo segments, different talents wrestled on each taping as well so no one wrestled more than once through the night.

The second taping shown this past Friday was the better of the two, it opened with a Ultimate X tag-title match between the Wolves, Manik/Sanada and DJ Zema/Jesse Godderz, very good high spot filled match.

Austin Aries and Samoa Joe wrestled to a DQ finish which was disappointing as this was Joes final TNA match, AA should have gone over. Afterwards Rockstar Spud cashed in his briefcase on Low-Ki and won the X-Division title.

Taryn vs Gail vs Awesome Kong was a solid ladies match.

James Storm beat Matt Hardy in a weapons filled brawl with tons of interference from Storms cronies.

The main event was a World title match between Lashley and Kurt Angle, great match which was rightly booked as a big deal. Won't spoil the result for folks who might want to watch it.

Really good shows from London which I wish I'd bothered to go and see live.
