I haven't watched TNA in the longest time. But out of curiosity I set the DVR to catch last week's show. There was still a fair amount of drivel, but there was also glimpses of has kept TNA going. Namely, the in-ring work.

The big shock of Jeff Jarrett's return was impressive. Especially given how he was able to talk about Global Force Wrestling. The dirtsheets have gone nuts over it. Some think that TNA & GFW have a working arraignment in place, and this is all leading up to some sort of "invasion" storyline. Others are speculatingthat Jarrett is going to buy back the company and merge it into GFW. Either way (or something else) it's got TNA some good attention.

That's pretty much my thoughts on Jarrett's return, it might be nothing more than a one-off match in a last ditch attempt to boost interest in Slammiversary or/and a plan B for this years hall of fame induction as plan A was AJ Styles who turned down the offer, but either way it's given TNA a bit of buzz and got people talking.

There are rumours of JJ buying his former company but it's more likely TNA and GFW have struck up a working relationship that will likely see talent exchanges, joint shows and possibly some sort of invasion/feud between the two companies.
At this time that would be good business, neither promotion on their own is functional on a large scale, TNA have downsized to pretty much a TV show only company now which they tape in blocks way in advance, this is why there has been a exodus of high profile talent lately as they cannot afford to keep too many top talents under exclusive deals anymore.
GFW are still in the start up stages and don't have the resources to be more than a minor league promotion alone.
So a working arrangement or some sort of merger is a win win for all concerned and should mean a better product for the people watching.
