In a similar fashion to the "What are you playing?" thread in the gaming forum. I though it would be easier to discuss movies that people have watched recently in this thread. I didn't want to make countless threads just for individual movies so I figured it would be easier for everyone to post a review on their thoughts of a movie using this read. If you want to further discuss the movie, then perhaps it can get its own thread.

THE PRINCESS & THE FROG

7.5/10

I can't remember the last time I've seen a hand drawn Disney movie, but this was quite refreshing. The animation and story was quite beautiful, but I thought the songs were a little bit overdone and not as catchy. Tiana is a wonderful character to add to the Disney Princess line, but I felt the other characters besides Raymond the Firefly were pretty unmemorable. It was definitely a cute and heartwarming movie, but by no means in the same league as Lion King or Beauty and the Beast.

SHERLOCK HOLMES

9/10

A nice mixture of action, humor and suspense. Law and Downey Jr. really worked well together in a classic buddy cop style. The story can be a bit far-fetched with the whole cult deal, but the rest of the film makes up for that. I can honestly say there really wasn't anything bad about it other than Downey mumbled some of his words at times.

The only film I've seen recently was Sherlock Holmes and like you, I enjoyed it, thought Downey Jr. did an excellent job as Holmes and there's a possibility of a sequel too. Sometimes, it was very hard to understand what Downey Jr was saying though. I don't think this film would please any Homles purists out there though as most of the recognisable stuff like the deerstalker cap and cloak are missing - the only three things included are the pipe, the violin playing and his use of opium.

Sherlock holmes is the next film on my list....

I recently watched Ninja Assassin, and while the action was definately top notch and thrilling, that really was all there is to it...

Also watched New Moon and am kinda disappointed. the movie is too long with nothing really happening... I would´ve rooted for less staring into each others eyes and more werewolves *lol*

I finished OZ season 1 about a week ago and I am going to start on season 2. Now, I can no longer say OZ is the greatest show I have never seen because I seen it. LoL. Its amazing.

As I write this I am almost ready to go and watch Harry Potter, not sure which, I just know its the newest one. I did watch the Order of the Phoenix couple days ago, because I cant watch the new one without watching the one before it. I have seen all the ones before though... But as for The Order, I thought it was OK, I did like that chick whos hair changes color, I thought to mysself, maybe other hairy areas change too? Wonder what color her hair changes during orgasm? LoL. She was hot... But I think the movie coulda been better. It still isnt as bad as the one where the necklace makes them kepp going back in time, that was horrid.

I have a few movies I am going to get later on today, so I will get back to ya with thoughts on them. I watch alot of movies, so I will be here alot. LoL.

Glad ya posted Trag! I just finished watching 2 movies as i said I would. Star trek and Angels & Demons.

I never say Davinci Code yet so I am not sure if these 2 movies are similar or which is better out of The Code and Angels/Demons, but I will say that Angels/Demons was too long. Sure it was a solid ass movie, but Tom Hanks running around wasnt all that exciting and suspenseful, it was actually pretty funny because the score was made to make it seem like some extreme race that put you on the edge of your seat when it didnt... The twist ending was OK, I saw it coming kinda, I just expected one guy over the other, but the way it played out was basically the same. Overall just an OK movie that coulda ended 20 to 30 minutes before it did.

Star Trek was what I expected. BAD ASSNESS. The effects were great, the action was good, the story was good, and the acting was great. Simon Pegg and Leonard Nimoy(sp?) stole the show for me, even though combined they were in the movie all of 15 minutes of a 2hr + movie. I was a bit disappointed because I read everywhere that Diora Baird was in it as some green alien, but thats a lie. The green alien was Rachel Nichols.... LoL, I was mad... Overall awesome 2hrs spent. I recommend it for anyone not seen it. Regardless if your a trekkie(sp?) or not, because I am not and I loved it. Honestly hate Trek, Ima Star Wars guy!

Watchmen

I really can't give it a proper rating because I need to do another viewing of it. I've never read the comics so I can't comment on how faithful the story was to the characters, plot and whatnot. I admit that I got confused at times but again that's because I don't know much about the series in the first place. But overall, I enjoyed it, but I could've done without Dr. Manhattan being bare-ass naked for nearly 90% of the film, lol! Now if that were Wesker, then I'd have no complaints. XD

Lol, that's very true, Steve. I actually giggled really hard the first time I saw it because there were like five of him on screen. The girl was just walking around so nonchalant about it too, lol.
