I have seen a lot of random gimmick matches and I was just wondering what you all would consider the worst gimmick matches ever created? Mine would have to be the Punjabi Prison match simply because it made absolutely no sense for anyone else but The Great Khali to be participating in it, and Khali is a garbage wrestler so it epically failed in the first place.

That match they had in TNA with the knockouts with the belt contract and spider in the box...where it was clear they wanted to put the belt on Angelina and have her feud with Tara on her way out of the company.

Yeah I agree not only was the Punjabi Prison match a really bad gimmick match, but it was a flop considering the last one didnt even have Great Khali in it because he didnt make it to the match lol. The creative Chairs match is a really bad gimmick match, so are the blindfolded matches, anything on a pole, and the diva pillow fights.

The worst ones come from WCW by far. They put everything imaginable on a pole. But, WWE may take the cake with the Dog Kennel from Hell match.

The Thong Stinky Face Match from SummerSlam 2000 between The Kat and Marlena.

The pillowfight at WrestleMania XIX.

And even though I liked it I must mention the Capture The Midget Match from Raw Roulette between Hurricane Helms and Rosey The Shit. Tongue

Many of the ones I would have said have been taken.

The Dog Kennel Match would take it for me.

Another one would be WCW's Chamber of Horror's Cage match from Halloween Havoc 91.  Where the team of Sting, The Steiner Brothers and El Gigente faced Big Van Vader, Cactus Jack, Abdullah The Butcher and Mr Hughes.  The winner team was the one who could get a member of the other team into the eltetric chair, hook them up, and then pull the lever to shock them!LOL

The end was a bit of a mess also.

On the bright side I guess the match does have that novity factor, because I don't think I've seen anything like it before or since, and because at least there were some of the finest workers of the day involved.

Another one would be when TNA staged a eletric ferce match between Team3D and Beer Money, I think in 2007, and it just looked so fake, and over dramtic.  Terrible indeed.
Lifes what you make it.

I choose to out think people, who are too dumb and pick on the rich.

Granted, some ladder match purist might dislike the concept. But if a match produces as many good matches as King of the Mountain has, I dont think it can count as being a bad gimmick match. The hell in the cell could be seen as a bad gimmick match because all it is, is a cage with a top around the ring. You could have every plain ass match in that ring (kinda like PG WWE does every year now). But because it has had amazing matches in the past, no one would say its a bad gimmick. Just like I think King of the Mountain is not a bad gimmick.
