What was your first live wrestling event like? Who was there? What happend?

For me it was the late 80s. A WWF live event in Anchorage, Alaska. The Main Event was Hulk Hogan vs. Earthquake. I was maybe 7 at the time and freaked when I saw Hulk Hogan come out and destroy the giant Earthquake. I also saw Koko B Ware and the Bushwackers (who were my absolute favorite tag team). I was upset I didn't get to see my favorite wrestler though. BIG BOSS MAN.

Sure we already have a thread like this, but I cannot find it LOL

Raw House Show MEN Arena:

One of the very first people to get into the venue that night. Me and Webby were there, as were some of our other mates and family in another part of the arena. It was very much a pro heel crowd that night. When there's bugger all inside the venue yet and it holds 20,000, the woooooo chants every minute were quality. Randy Orton was getting cheered over Shelton, which resulted in him giving puzzled "i'm the heel" looks to the fans. Flair faced Edge and Edge had to turn heel before the match for the night because of the pro Naitch crowd. Natich even kicked out of a spear. We must have been more or less the only ones in the arena cheering for La Resistance over Hurricane and Rosey. Funny looks we got was funny. Awesome main event between HHH and HBK and both guys got cheered loads. All in all the show was very good.

Some WCW show at the NEC back in the late 90's...

The Main Event was: Curt Hennig vs. Ric Flair.

The show pretty much sucked.

My first WwF house show was July 1996. Foggy on all the matches but I remember some. Steve Austin beat Aldo Montoya. This was after Austin won the King of the Ring, but keep in mind, he wasnt over right away like alot of people think, and when he came out he still had that old Ringmaster music and got a lukewarm response. Aldo had Jake Roberts in his corner and after Aldos loss, Jake came in and DDTd Austin. Physcho Sid beat Vader with a chokeslam. Not a great match but seeing both guys so close to me was enough to make it entertaining. I remember the main event being Undertaker with Paul Bearer defeated Mankind with the Tombstone. This was in a small sports tent where WWE used to hold small summer shows which Mick Foley talked about in his Have a Nice Day book.

SMACKDOWN.
ORLANDO,FL.

I cant remember the exact date but it was when AUSTIN went heel and joined the ECW/WCW team. I saw RAVEN vs HAKU. THE X-FACTOR vs APA and KANE. AUSTIN came out and started beating the shyt outta MICHEAL COLE. HARDYS beat HOLLYS. and MAIN EVENT was DUDLEYS vs EDGE n CHRISTIAN for the TAG TITLES. I remember all my favorites and all the guys I wanted to win lost and my older brothers favs won. And boy let me tell you! KANES FIRE! OMG so HOTTTT! I was 2nd deck and it felt like it was in my face! i was so screamed out i couldnt talk for weeks! but it was defenatly awsome! O yea DUDLEYS retained.

I remember that Smackdown quite well.

Like a pervoris poster my first live Wrestling came in 1996 and was a WWF House show at the London Arena it was just after the SuvivorSeries where Sid had won the Title.
Looking back on it the undercard sucked pretty bad with matches like Bob Holly V Shit i forget now who was the fat blonde one who did a plumber gimmick.  And Crush against Aldo Montoya and of couse the Rock having just made his debut was involved.  on the upper card there was Tag Title match with Owen and the Bulldog defending against The Godwin.  At one stage one of the Godwins got the pin, but it turned out Owen had his foot on the rope so the match got restarted and the Champions retained the titles.  Sid beat Stone Cold by DQ When I think the Bulldog ran in.  Bret making his return to the UK defeated Vader with a sharpshooter and The Undertaker put away ManKind in a good No DQ Main Event.

So not too bad I guess it was memable for a number of reasons, one being it actually set the table a little for the Hart Foundation(which is rare on a houseshow) as Bret and Davey both aided each other in their matches.  Also I can remember the fans chanting "We Want Bret" after every match.   The main Event did deliver too.

My first live event was a WWF house show in Quebec City: August 3rd, 1996. The main event was Shawn Michaels vs Vader for the WWF Championship (build up for their Summerslam encounter). Great match between The Undertaker and Mankind on that night and some crazy and funny things happened on that night, including Goldust completely freaking out after jobbing to Yokozuna (substituting for Ahmed Johnson) in like 1:30. I think his exact words were : "YOU PEOPLE SUCK!". Plus, I had the chance to see Sunny live, which was pretty cool in itself. I had a great time and I returned to a couple of their house shows there a couple of years later and I went to see RAW and Smackdown in Montreal as well.

About 2 years ago, a small indy promotion came to my town, and were doing a tour over different parts of manchester, bury & wales. Tickets were only about £3, and I took a mate of mine to watch it.

Was actually a pretty good show, with a tables match and a battle royal for their best belt.
Only about 50 people there maximum, so I was able to get my picture taken with three guys on the roster. I was pretty chuffed.
