Hummm, well another NXT where not much happened. The Harris/Rhodes Vs MVP/Watson match was really the only thing worth watching on the show this week. Fun bout as Husky and Cody played up their heel creditials, and I was actually surprised when they won, with Rhodes tagging in Harris to get the pin on MVP which was pretty cool. Liking this partnership, and Harris.
Here's a link for the match, it starts at about the 2 min mark, runs for 7 mins.

The only other match, Riley Vs Cannon, was a total squash, and was more a spot for Miz than the rookies. Lucky said kind words about is absent Pro, Henry, and threw kisses to the audience, then Riley wiped the floor with him in under 2 minutes lol.
Only other fun spots, were Harris doing the obstacle course they set up as this weeks contest. Also, Kaval getting kissed and hugged by Layla was hilarious. Kaval was pretty funny and animated in his promo spot, and is obviously enjoying himself with Laycool.

Kaval did alright at talking on the mic, but most of them struggled to make sense when they spoke.

The task once again (as it did in season 1) showed the rookies are very poor at talking about a random subject off top of their head.

Season 3 possible rookies should practice now being able to talk about the most random of subject.

After the last two weeks, a much better NXT this week, with three ok matches and good promos. Vote went this way for the elimination:
1. Hennig
2. Kaval
3. Riley
4. Watson
5. Cannon
6. Harris
7. Cottonwood (eliminated).

The 3 matches this week were Watson vs Ryder, Hennig vs Cottonwood, and Kaval vs Harris.
Watson vs Ryder was a 'wtf match' as Ryder jobbed out to Watson bigtime. I'm not a fan of Watson, but he'll do ok in WWE i think.
Hennig vs Cottonwood was pretty good, as the biggest guys in the comp put on a pretty good show i thought. Lots of high impact and power moves and I though Cottonwood did look pretty menacing in this match - which i didnt get from his previous bouts. Hennig win of course, but worth a watch and better than the first match.
Kaval vs Harris was the most fun of the three matches, cos i like watching both these guys work and like their relationships with their Pros (surprise surprise). Good power display from Harris and Kaval no less awesome than usual. Harris win (but only because Layla and McTaker got injured ringside).
Yeah, with the vote, I knew it'd be Cottonwood, although I was hoping it'd be Cannon lol. Cottonwood just hasn't had any real presence when on mike or camera - just coming across as a big guy wrestling but nothing for the fans to relate to personality wise. I think WWE will keep him about as a monster replacement and he has the licks to the job if schooled and scripted right. Sure, nothing flashy about his style, but at least he can move about the ring lol.
Overall best show since the season started i thought.

I havent been watching it, but from the few bits I have seen I'm glad Eli Cottonwood has been eliminated.

Poor chap had nothing going for him whatsoever. He was a big guy with nothing intimidating or imposing about him, just looked.......weird.

Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

While no television outlet has been announced, WWE plans on holding a third season of NXT. The current season ends in late August, and they have the Syfy slot at least until the end of September.

Maybe they could do a tag team season to try and make that division worthwhile again.

Eve Torres said in an interview she would like a divas season, but I doubt many would want that.

Seasons don't last too long so they are going to end up running out of developmental people to use.

i do like that in this season of NXT so far, they are giving the rooks more in ring time to showcase their talents.
Still not a big fan of the obisticle courses for immunity from eliminations.
in my opinion the NXT seasons should be treated like the RAW and Smackdown seasons, only create one singles title and tag-team titles.
this way all rookies can be able to show off what they can do, i feel like we are missing out on some truely amazing performances.
anyway i think that NXT seasons should start on the Tuesday after Wrestlemania and ended at Wrestlemania later in a ldder match similar to Money in the Bank.
this way the rookies could establish a fan base bigger than a few thousand, and they would be able to decide for themselves if they are in deed ready for a contract.
on a side note, i'm totally lovin The Nexus, again in my opinion, i think the The Nexus can go further than nWo or D-X, these guys are younger and hungrier and it looks like they will be the most dominant faction since Evolution

The results of the NXT Poll were revealed on last night's episode, and after the votes of the WWE Universe and the WWE Pros were combined, Eli Cottonwood was eliminated. Meanwhile, the immune Michael McGillicutty, who still boasts a perfect record, ousted Kaval for the No. 1 spot. The results of the NXT Poll were as follows:

1. Michael McGillicutty
2. Kaval
3. Alex Riley
4. Percy Watson
5. Lucky Cannon
6. Husky Harris
7. Eli Cottonwood

After his elimination, an emotionally-charged Cottonwood attacked the other NXT Rookies.

Currently my top six of those remaining would be.......

1) Michael McGillicutty.

2) Kaval.

3) Alex Riley.

4) Husky Harris.

5) Percy Watson.

6) Lucky Cannon.

I'd rank them this way atm based on mike, ring work, and 'entertainment value'. Have to admit I am not sold on Hennig being #1 in the comp, he's charismatic but no 'wow' factor (yet) in ring work for me.

1. Kaval
2. Harris
3. Riley
4. Hennig
5. Watson
6 Cannon

NXT2 this week was ok, with a kissing contest, and 4 matches squeezed onto the card. Good matches but they suffered due to time limitations.  - Kaval v Harris, Hennig v Cannon, Watson v Riley, and Hennig v Miz.

The kissing competition was train-wreck TV. I couldn't look away it was so politically incorrect but hilarious. The show starts with Lay-Cool getting in the ring with the rookies, and a kissing competition organized. WWE thinks it would be hilarious to get the fattest plainest girl around to be the one getting kissed. Of course all the boys ham up the horror of having to kiss the 'fat chick'. Hennig licked her face - no idea what that was about lol. 10/10 for the woman who got in the ring to do this and carrying the whole thing with good humour despite the fat and ugly jokes.
The first match between Kaval and Harris was the best of the 4 for me. Impressive show from both these guys, and Harris' speed continues to amaze. Match would have been better if they'd given it another 5 minutes though. The trouble with short matches like this is that the loser always looks weak to get flattened so fast. Harris win but great show from both.
Hennig v Cannon. It was over before it even got started and Cannon looked like a total jobber to Hennig (who is obviously getting pushed big time in this show). Cannon probably up for elimination next week.
Watson v Riley. Umm...Riley won lol. Only noticeable thing about this match was how flat MVP was. The guy didn't smile the whole time, or give any nod to the fans - that was spooky.
Miz v Hennig. Inevitable that Miz would win this one to keep him looking strong for his RAW angles. i.e. if he can't beat a rookie, why is he fighting Orton? lol Both Hennig and Miz put on a good show, but like the other matches, suffered bigtime for lack of match-time.
Next weeks elimination pole, i think will come down to Watson or Cannon being booted.

This is my Ranking
1-Kaval
2-Michael Mcgillicutty
3-Alex Riley
4-Percy Watson
5-Husky Harris
6-Lucky Cannon for next time

*Its good that Eli got eliminated.

*Next should be Lucky as he is not credible enough comparing to the other guys.
Guys can you help me out
