Pros

Aleister Black vs Buddy Murphy I will gladly watch them wrestle as much as possible and it's clearly not over with the two

Seth Rollins and the A.O.P are going strong as the top heel faction looks like Seth will remain heel for quite some time which is fine in my book.

Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe as faces, we've all been clambering for this for a while now we have it and now we can have 2 top faces that the crowd will be more then happy being behind.

Neutral

Randy Orton vs AJ Styles honestly not fussed about this match all due respect to styles but I feel like he's starting to lose a step or 2 and that's just age starting to catch up and I've never cared about Orton.

Charlotte flair doing another first ever , if she wasn't so good in the ring I would turn the channel off when she's on I'm sick of her character at the moment I'm only glad she's not near the women's title at the moment.

Cons

The lashley lana wedding

Not only did this stupid segment take too long it's not a square love angle with liv Morgan being put involved with , you have an actual lesbian in Sonya deville use her for the lesbian storyline she wants it.

I hope this storyline ends asap.

Brock in the Rumble, and at #1. Holy shit.

Before this, I was thinking Reigns would win the Rumble. Now I'm convinced there is no chance of that happening. My guess as to why Brock is in is that all that is left of Benoit that is hard to ignore on the record books is his Rumble win from #1 in 2004, and I'm thinking putting Brock in the Rumble is their way of completely erasing him for good and not be pressured to even imply he won it in the pre-Rumble match video package.

I dont think theres any chance of Brock winning the rumble - i do think hell end up in the final 4/6.

What i think will happen is "someone" will eliminate Brock - hell kick off and attack whoever that someone is. everyone will think that as a result "someone" is eliminated only for them to come back and win and as a result becoming Brocks mania opponent.

If that doesnt strictly happen i still expect whoever eliminates Brock to be his mania opponent regardless of if they win the rumble or not

Another good Paul Heyman Raw.....

McIntyre continues on his tweener path, this is very good booking that we don't see often enough these days, Drew is introducing more fan friendly elements to his character and dominating his matches but he's still blurring the lines between face and heel allowing fans to start cheering him organically. He seems to be enjoying himself and appears natural in his role rather than scripted, I hope he continues right to the top as he's a main eventer waiting to happen.

I enjoyed the opening interaction and impromptu match between Randy, Drew and AJ, good stuff.

The show highlights were the Brock and R-Truth segment, this was funny stuff from Truth and Lesnar looking dominant as ever.

The fist fight of Owens, Joe and Show vs Rollins/AOP was pretty decent and the spot where Owens ran up the Raw video wall into a cannonball flip looked great. This also saw Buddy Murphy join up with Rollins and AOP, I like this move and it was smartly booked after Murphy suffered another hard fought loss to Aleister Black.

Some silliness with Erick Rowan and whatever he is supposed to have in the cage and I know people are not fans of the Lashley/Rusev storyline which continued on with what I found to be a pretty enjoyable match this week, on the whole though this was another very good episode.

Buddy Murphy On Raw is so much better through his association with Seth Rollins.

This is less of a case for Authors of Pain on Raw who i'd like put in a fued with a prominent tag team.

Charlotte On Raw is going to drag out picking who she faces, which is a boring, bland and predictable heel trait that's done every time.

I quite enjoyed Raw this week

Drew was super over and we got to see Lesnar assert his dominance by hitting him with an F5 and leaving him lying there

MVP v Mysterio was a good match, it was good to see MVP wrestle for longer than what he got at the rumble

Black got another meaningless win - they really need to do something proper with him and get him built back up to what he was in NXT

The tag match was good - i really enjoy Seth in a heel role and Murphy is also benefiting from this. Murphy had a decent push last year and he delivered big time so this must be his reward by becoming more established. I can see this going one way - Rollins attacking Murphy when they eventually lose the tag titles and therefore catapulting Murphy to a huge babyface position

Andrade again put in a decent showing and im surprised he retained given his wellness policy violation. Vega looked hot again - was she wearing some sort of Rey Mysterio themed gear?

Charlotte is great in the ring but shes so fucking boring. Asuka needs to be built up as the top woman in the division because shes so under appreciated. Kairi is too and i think they need to start to filter through some more NXT talent because the womans division is in a bad place on the two "main" shows

I'm starting to dislike the 24/7 title - its getting ridiculous now

Liv and Lana are both hot but the storyline needs to end now - it has went n for far far too long. Livs top rope flatliner looks quality.

Rowan is bland and his gimmick has been the same since he debuted, slightly different attire each time but same old shitty boring gimmick. What ever they will come up with regarding whats in that cage is beyond me

The Edge and Orton stuff at the end was some of the greatest storytelling ive seen from WWE in years. It was 100% believable and everyone was genuinely worried for edge whilst hating on Orton. Absolutely fantastic stuff. Orton is a super safe worker as well so Edge is in good hands for his first major match in years.

Quality episode

This is a few weeks in a row that ive really enjoyed Raw now

I think we are starting to see more and more of the Heyman influence because the storylines are good (still dont like anything Lashley is involved with mind), we are seeing a bit more edginess to the product with Shayna, Orton and the Monday Night Messiah.

Another really good episode

Didn't enjoy Raw as much as Smackdown, I think the novelty of the empty arena setting had worn off.

They ran a replay of the entire men's Royal Rumble match which took up half the episode more or less, a fair chunk of the show was also filled with lengthy recap videos.

Edge's promo to open the episode was excellent, credit to him for that.

The segment with The Undertaker and AJ was a little weird, seems they are trying to humanize Taker as he strolled out without his trademark hat and coat and slow walk entrance and was ready to fight. Would have liked to have heard Taker talk rather than just a predictable beatdown of fall guys Gallows and Anderson.

Only one match on the entire episode, Andrade vs Rey Mysterio, I'm guessing the matches on Smackdown in the empty arena were not well received or it was to do with using a small talent crew and minimising the amount of physical contact.

Becky's promo was pretty decent. Then out comes Austin, I thought his segment was dumb, it didn't build anything for Wrestlemania or help a talent or storyline he just went on some ridiculous ramble reading from cue cards about 3:16 day while Byron Saxton acted like a idiot at the announce desk holding up score cards which was basically all a set up for Steve to drink beers with Becky Lynch and give Saxton a couple of stunners.

I get that WWE is struggling to fill content, but I'm not digging the match replays. If I wanted to watch an replay PPV match, I would just watch it on YouTube. It would be different if they were dusting off some real classic matches. But they're just trying to remind people how badass Brock Lesnar is and such.

Heck at this point, I'd rather see New Day simulate matches on WWE2K20. Because their commentary would be funny. And the glitches funnier.

I don't mind the match replays, it shortens Raw down to around a hour per episode if you skip them which is fine with me, 2.5 hours of Raw has always been far too much.

This week was pretty solid, pre-taping is smart as it has allowed for a better structure and it's good to see WWE followed AEW's lead with the hard camera to shoot the ring so it's hard to see the empty seating.

This week was a nice blend of promo segments and a couple of matches. Randy Orton's promo was top notch stuff as ever and I quite enjoyed the Becky and Shayna stuff. Not quite sure about the AJ Styles promo though, he sometimes goes off on a senseless ramble.
