Cena: "I'm not superman" Me watching: ![]() Jericho did indeed save that promo. The strife v teamwork aspect has been spoken about in the thread already, as has the great booking of Orton. My 2 favourite aspects of Raw were: 1) Jericho is being built to fued with Cena. I was worried that Edge and Cena would be the "top 2" in the 7, with Jericho and Khali below. But putting Jericho in this position against Cena is new, and somewhat fresh (i choose to repress and ignore the squash at last year's PPV for Cena to take his title) 2) The Miz is really being built up well as a future Main Event Heel. If this continues I have a feeling he will be able to cash in MITB, LOSE the match (becomiing the first to do so) and still be a credible Main Event Heel. |

Pretty fun RAW to watch, but it wasn't doing it for me at the get go, of course due to Cena's promo, which I have been vocal about in the past. Now I know Orton was booked superbly last night, and I usually enjoy his segments. This one was no different. But for me the MVP of last night's RAW is Chris Jericho. The way he completely saved to promo to even how he carried the main event on his shoulders. Then look at how he played up the crowd showing glimpses of his old-school Y2J persona, only to turn on Cena in the end....just brilliant. Jericho was the man last night and this storyline has me really intrigued because I believe something huge will happen at Summerslam. Something almost has to to.......

From the photo's on WWE.com
It seems Cena came to talk his trash & Jericho had to be the 1 to put Cena in his place. I guess Cena wanted 2 get the fans hyped by yelling in Jericho's face. I do wonder if any other altercations happened during that time. It's also obvious that it would be an elimination match because it would be stupid to only have 1 fall.
Orton doing what Orton does best & that's shut everyone up with an RKO. I must say that I'm happy Orton prevented the Miz from cashing in his MITB on Sheamus. I'm surprised that Orton faced a member of USO. I also noticed Orton doesn't wear the wristbands anymore & it seems he's gone back to posing in the ring.
Good thing there wasn't a winner for this match but no surprise to see Nexus let Khali go because if they hit him once then he's retired from the WWE ... LOL
Nexus dominating once again all I can do is
Very funny to see Alicia Fox nail the scissor kick on The Bella twin & Jillian. I have to say where in the PINK hell did Jillian come from no 1 has seen her in a long time. I'm also surprised that the Bella twins even had a match & it seems that there switcharoo seems to fail everytime 1 can't help but laugh @ them each time it happens.
It seems John Morrison has lost another match & it's a shame to see his down fall ever since coming to Raw. I see Morrison is letting the facial hair get up there & why the hell is R - Truth even out there to begin with ???
Both teams not co existing isn't a BIG surprise on what took place earlier in the night. Nice to see the Raw team's whole night go up in flames. No 1 co existed that night & I'm sure everyone didn't have a good night.

I agree with that but the only thing about it is they do this to Jericho and everybody starts getting into him again and then they deflate the balloon, so to speak, and knock him back down a peg. He is so good that he deserves to always remain in the main title picture but he gets which I think is done dirty so often that when they do stuff like this, it's hard to really get into him. Now he may like doing things this way and not mind always being in the title picture but I like watching him and know he is good enough to be a main champion. |

I couldn't agree more and I'm not sure I was even aware of it until just now. I found myself in recent months being like, "has jericho lost a step?" "Is he as good as he once was, or is he not into it anymore?" I was never vocal about these feelings mind you, then last night happened and I was of course singing the praises of Jericho once more. Maybe it's the way he wants to roll, but down the road I predict it will be hard for Jericho to be a heel. Much like HBK, he will (and to a point is now) be so respected that a heel reaction might be tougher. However, the great ones, no matter how popular though can always get that heel heat if they have to. Rock did it with his last stint, HBK did it in 2005 vs. Hogan, Jericho can do it, hell even that geriatric goofball Ric Flair can get heel heat, because he is still very good at doing it, regardless of how much respect he garners. One other thought I had about RAW, that crowd was ultra hot! San Antonio has always been a great crowd, and if you're going to tape next weeks show, I think San Antonio is a great selection. It feels weird watching a show from there though without HBK on it. |

they usually don't do a double taping unless they are doing an overseas tour during the following week so I don't know.
I just looked on the site for live shows and they have no listings for the dates August 2 through the 6th in the States so they must be going overseas. That's an odd number of dates to not be doing shows. You'd think since they taped RAW, they would do a two week stint overseas if that is what they are doing. |

WWE has got this thing at the moment of building up a story then crashing it to build it up again I thought this weeks Raw was very poorly put together. Mark Henry attacking a Nexus Member in his side of the ring then standing there while the Nexus member staggers to his side of the ring to make a tag .
what looked like a solid unit of the WWE all stars as Cole named them last week to crumble at this weeks raw was both a joke and unrealistic they could have done so much with that story line ar at least save the ego clashes till after the match at slam.
hope it picks back up next week cos that was the worst Raw in a long time closely followed by the viewers choice from a two month ago.

I wrote up a full RAW Acey review, but I'm not sure if I should post
it because 1. I was very sleepy when I wrote it so it is of poor quality
and 2. RAW wasn't very good anyway...
