I enjoyed pretty much all of SmackDown.  Such a superior show to Raw, being 2 hours definitely helps!  I rarely question the writing on Tuesday nights.  I hope Bryan and Kane move away from each other following Extreme Rules though.  Fun storyline, but there are big feuds ahead for Bryan.

Peyton Royce & Billie Kay On Smackdown nowhere to be seen yet again Cry

The Miz & Daniel Bryan Storyline has finally started getting interesting again and it's clear they will meet at Summerslam.

Smackdown Womens Division is struggling with Ronda on Raw, Charlotte injured and nobody outside of Becky being built up strongly.

I’ve said for a while the women’s division isn’t strong enough yet to main event Wrestlemania and I will go a step further. You can have too much of a good thing. For me , the only women on Smackdown worth any kinda value is Charlotte, Becky , well Charlotte and Becky. The others , even Mella and Askua don’t have the skills of those 2. Now I know I’m in the minority but RAW could give up a few of theirs to help the cause. Everyone but maybe Alexis will take a back seat to Rhonda when that train gets going. I’d say trim the fat , lose Naomi, Asuka, Mickie, Alicia to start off. Then have one women’s division for both Raw and Smackdown , the women’s champ floats back n forth like AJ should be doing. I will still stand by my statement , the brand split didn’t work them and it isn’t working now. AJ is getting shorted , way to many females that aren’t revelant. The one thing they’ve don’t right, they’ve move. The cruiser weights to 205 live and off RAW.

Quote The New Day defeated SAnitY to advance in the SmackDown Live Tag-Team Tournament on Tuesday night's episode.

Next Tuesday night, The Usos will go up against the team of Cesaro and Sheamus to decide the other tournament finalists. The winner of that match will go on to face The New Day the following week on SmackDown Live, with the winner of that match moving on to challenge The Bludgeon Brothers for the SmackDown Live Tag-Team Championships at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.

WWE SummerSlam 2018 goes down live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday, August 19th.

Make sure to join us here on 8/19 for live results coverage of the entire pay-per-view!

Cesaro/Sheamus win next week to ensure the final match is heels vs faces.

Cesaro/Sheamus then beat New Day because they don't need title matches anymore.

Then we see new champions and a face turn at Summerslam because with them being off screen so long, I can see a change in character, especially with their new merchandise football style shirts.

The Bar has fallen off quite a bit since losing the belts. I know Sheamus isn't 100% but the talent pool has gotten so big from either way to many being brought up from NXT or signing of free agents they seem not really to have a place currently so let's see how they try to get them some quality matches without being in the title hunt.

I'm more interested lately in the unofficial mixed tag division we're seeing being played with on Smackdown. Daniel & Brie, Almas & Vega, Miz & Mrs., Rusev & Lana, as well as Uso & Naomi (which isn't being utilized atm) all have a real shot at doing something different, and so far it's been the most interesting part of the WWE today IMO.

Also the fact that they're doing another season of mixed match challenge is something of note as well, because obviously someone booking smackdown finds the chemistry worth playing with as well.

So episode 1000 aired this week, first time in a long time I've watched a whole episode of Smackdown, I enjoyed it, a nice mix of nostalgia and current goings on blended together nicely.

The opening segment featuring Shane, Steph, Vince, R-Truth and Carmella was silly but fun, it didn't run too long and was a ok way to open the show.

Bryan/AJ vs The Usos was decent and the booking allowed the tension to build between Styles and DB.

Rusev vs The Miz was short and was more about furthering the Rusev/English feud.

Loved the Evolution reunion, the guys managed to merge staying in their current characters while showing respect and playing up to the nostalgia nicely, Batista surprisingly got the most mic time and seemed to tease a match between him and Triple H which I know Batista has gone on record saying he would like to happen.

New Day vs The Bar was a solid match and saw Big Show form a alliance with Sheamus and Cesaro, I can see the sense in this as it evens the odds with New Day and gives Show a position on tv which won't require him to wrestle too much and can maybe ease the burden on Sheamus too who is suffering with a back injury.

Mysterio vs Nakamura was good their styles meshed well but I felt like they only scratched the surface of what they could do.

The show featured brief cameos from former GM's and they showed a tweet from The Rock who obviously couldn't make it there in person. Was a good episode, they didn't go over the top like they have with the Raw specials and I enjoyed the nostalgia.

By far, a much better show as far as wrestling goes than RAW. Yes, RAW may have bigger names , but much better wrestling talent on Smackdown Live.
